Cool! That’s neat that Steve let you at his old footage. I tied watching it when I ran out of his good stuff, and now I realize my videos are just shaken and bad. Looks like I’m buying a new camera.
I notice how he jerks the steering wheel to get into a turn. This goes against everything what I have heard. Everyone going on about "being smooth" and "minimal steering".
Hey Anomaly P, The footage is from Steve Alvarez Brown also known as Super GT here on RUclips. The karts being raced are from the Club100 series and are based on Rotex karts. They are a bit different to rental karts, where you are meant to be as smooth as possible to reduce losses in speed. They are roughly double the horsepower and lighter than rental karts. Due the increase in power, losses in speed aren't as damaging to your performance. The Club100 karts are also less prone to under-steer compared to rental karts. So the jerking of the wheel does a number of things, it helps lift the inside rear wheel (reducing binding), gets the kart the rotate and gets the kart to rotate early to they can be back on the power ASAP.
Very cool video mate! Thanks for choosing my clips! Enjoyed it!
Super GT Thanks so much for the support! Glad you enjoyed it.
Hi @Super GT and @TheNoobKarter
Sebastien Woods 👋
This was a good one. Definitely love the informational aspect.🔥🔥🔥
Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully, it helps out some other new karters.
Mad little Miata/MX5 by the way!

Steve was very open and was super nice!
I had the same revelation regard my GoPro Session. Upgraded to a Hero 7, and was much better.
Nice vid, Bobby. Good examples and well done.
Thanks Dom!
I don’t recommend doing sudden movements on the Sterling wheel while turning because it can make you spin
Thanks for the video
Please explain what he is doing to pass I can watch his videos myself
Thanks Justin. If you go to around 8:55 I try to break down what I picked up from his passing.

@@TheNoobKarter Got it, so disregard for rentals.
Correct. In most case in a rental you are aiming keep as much momentum in the corners, as acceleration isn't so great in rental karts.
I'm going go karting in 5 hours lol
How did you go?
