Nice antenna, but i was waiting to see if you was going to say how long was the boom on the 5 element beam! I've got a brand new maco 107 still in the box but i changed my mind on wanting to put it up at my house because the boom is so long, is this one about the same length as a maco 105? Bear in mind the bigger the bandwidth reduces the efficency of the antenna, what u gain will not be worth the loss .
The loss isn't as drastic or significant as you might think. We aren't talking a loss of 3db gain, more along the lines of .5-1 db gain.
Also I don't think you realize how an OWA antenna works or where the bandwidth comes from.
DB gain is on par with a maco m106 with way better bandwidth.
I'm going to have to come down there and show you how to do it. First you keep the pl 259 connectors loose. Then shove a thumb tack into the coax for every kHz you want to run. You have to bend the driven element 45° off set to the rest of the elements. Then the real secret (don't tell no one) is forget what anyone tells you and wrap the whole thing with duct tape. There is just some technology I won't even charge you with this time.

How about a box wire feed beam ? In a 4 element
that's a directional beam antenna , put a rotor on that puppy and watch those weak signals get strong as you turn it. 73's
wonder if yall could build me a 2 element or 3 element and how much roughly would it cost..power lets say amost 5kw in time..lol
