Like becoming attached to the idea of becoming someone who retains semen. The idea of non attachment has been discussed by the buddha. And it simply means to live in such a way that there is effortless acceptance each passing moment. I like the idea of effortless acceptance. To effortlessly see desires birthing out of causes, and to see how those desires bring suffering whether you fulfil them, attain them, ignore them I.e the world can be seen as a place of inevitable suffering. Non Attachment is not necessarily about ridding ourselves of cravings. Desires and cravings too are effects of the world around and within us. Non attachment to me is not about semen retention either. It is to know what ejaculation does to you and try to act in accordance. But neither be attached to the idea of success nor of failure. The non-self eventually is governed by the influences that sit within and around it. This need to complete the goal of semen retention is in itself a different form of attachment
