Considering that y'all waited till the "11th hour" 😅😅 to break the news to your parents, did any of you face any challenges with your attempts to keep it a secret? Also, did Mr Habster experience any awkwardness during the family trip?
Hahaha glad you enjoyed it, because the build-up was funny - but we made it! What aided in keeping the friendship aspect of our relationship the main thing was that we lived far from our parents and that meant they weren't as active in our day-to-day lives as may be the case with someone else. So in that sense we didn't need to put in a lot of effort to hide, it just worked out that way. If the circumstances were different, maybe we would have spoken sooner. So unfortunately I can't contribute to listing any challenges. As mentioned in the video and a previous answer to a comment, if the dynamics allow for you to talk to your parents about it, then perhaps respectfully engage them in the topic. But if it is a sore topic, I will add to please have GOOD, WISE COMMUNITY/COUNSEL to walk and pray with you about things. Lol there were some feelings of awkwardness but mainly from my side. The parents were pretty comfortable with having me around and we spoke and laughed freely. I was the one trying to make sure that I respect them fully and on my best behaviour.
