Most do not know what is truth. Most SDAs don't know what is truth that sanctifies. Many if not most don't understand sanctification. The only definition given by most is to be set apart for a holy use. The other more accurate definition is to be made holy, as God commands us. Be holy, even as I am holy. Pursue holiness without which no man can see the Lord. Be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect. Moses, Paul and Matthew and a host of other Bible writers exhort to holiness, (sanctification). The new SDA theology, Des Ford's, legacy robs the Church of this important teaching by saying like the Evangelicals that salvation was COMPLETED at the cross. No investigative judgment. No sanctification or optional sanctification. Jesus did it all.
We need to hear pure Bible truths from our pulpits, not adulterated messages and certainly silence, (no messages) on certain topics accomplishes the same effect. When the teaching of the health reform message, which was given to help clear our minds and control our bodies is taken up and accepted as it should be we will see much of the doctrinal confusion dissipate. May our dear Lord help us.
