In today’s digital age, moral education often takes a backseat, with studies indicating that 60% of teachers feel it’s inadequately addressed in curricula. This gap hampers students’ social and emotional development, leaving them ill-equipped to navigate ethical dilemmas. Our innovative mobile application leverages Augmented Reality (AR) to transform moral education, allowing students at Bal Bharati Public Schools (BBPS) to actively engage with scenarios that teach essential values. Research shows that experiential learning can boost retention by 75%, while technology integration increases engagement by 40%, making this approach not just relevant but necessary.
The app will feature interactive trigger images linked to relatable moral scenarios. When a student scans a trigger image, the app will recognize it and activate an immersive Augmented Reality (AR) experience that unfolds in real-time, right in front of the students-outside the confines of the screen. For instance, if the image depicts a teacher struggling with books, students will witness this scenario play out as if it’s happening before them, prompting them to discuss their responses meaningfully. This innovative use of AR technology allows students to truly “live” the moral lessons, fostering empathy and critical thinking. By recording content with students and teachers in school uniforms, we ensure that the scenarios resonate deeply, reinforcing the core values of BBPS.
