Dewalt has improved so much in the last 2 years. Just solid play, not missing small things that make a big difference. Also, I hope he makes it into SSL and brings the neckbeard.
1:02 God bless you Artosis. Love your casts, please keep posting them. You were born for doing this work. Your knowledge on Terran scratches that ol’ nostalgic itch, while also educational and full of insights on these matches, the maps, and the matchups. 9:56 little chills confirmed
Funny thing about Wimbledon: even if you lose in the first round you still get $76,000. Just making it into Wimbledon is a huge payday for a lot of pro tennis players, even if you know your chance of winning is basically 0
Ever since I learned that Dewalt is a foreigner I've been a huge fan! I usually frame the games I watch from the Terran perspective, but when watching Dewalt I visualize things from the Protoss side. So awesome to see him take down a player of Speed's caliber. Thanks for another great cast Artosis!
sO i WAS JUST THINKÍNG. Since Arty invented the "Artosis pylon" for the protoss and the "Crazy zerg" for zerg, when is he going to invent something for the terran, being a terran main? If I'm being honest, I think Tosis already invented something for the terrans, but he's saving it for when he qualifies to ASL. After all, they don't call him "The MacGyver Terran" for nothing.
Wow! What a game from Dewalt! Kind of a build order win with the 3gate obs against Speed's timing push but Dewalt did really well to press the tempo advantage he got from that and not sit back and allow Speed back into the game! Do we know what turn rate Dewalt plays at when connecting to Korea? I wonder if Speed no-GG'd because he was annoyed with lag or something?
watu mean? He just played standard and took a 4th and minorly harassed with reavers. Pushing an advantage would be like trying to bust or double expanding or something. He just straight up outplayed him standard.
@@alexfriedman2152 He didn't just minorly harass with reavers, he was highly active on the map and applying pressure. He was taking fights, even inefficient ones (like when he blitzed his goons through that high ground choke to the 3rd) in order to keep trading down the Terran army and not allowing him to get critical mass. You can say "that's standard" but it's absolutely not just sitting back and expanding after crushing the first timing push. Remember RT wanted him to take 2 new bases instantly but instead he took one and went reavers. If he had taken 2 he wouldn't have had any harass at all and no pressure, allowing Speed to macro back into the game
@@chongli297 I'm just telling you... what he did was clearing mines and moving around goons. You always do that at a high level. Then he dropped at the third with 2 reavers and then took a 4th and attacked. Not that it really matters, but the way you described it was kinda weird. You always clear mines and move around with your first control group of goon.
I look forward to these casts everyday. Thanks so much Arty. Your casting is superb. I especially enjoy that you teach the audience rather than reiterate what we're seeing on the screen by just talking quickly (what most eSport casters do). Keep up the awesome work!
Does Dewalt play with some lag against the Koreans? I can see Speed raging about losing due to lag if that is the case. No gg at this level is a bit surprising.
@@torathel23 He's from city of Yekaterinburg, which is in middle part of Russia in Ural mountains region. He said he had bad ping to both EU and Asia, such a shitty location for playing Starcraft. :D
As someone that hasn't played SC in like 20 years, but still watches SC vids every day, you sometimes see engagements, such as the one around 13:00 mins that seem even at the start and then in the end one ends up just crushing the other. Always makes me wonder if the victorious player was just that much better at heavy microing the fight in that moment or if there is just a bit of RNG in how the units attack and the outcome. Regardless, it's part of what makes BW so incredible and ageless.
That attack at 13:00 worked because the reaver drop pulled around 20 supply of mech units into the main. Speed overcommitted to defending his main and Dewalt punished it.
@QCLagstone yeah for sure I get that. But still if you look at what's still there on both sides, I think at first look you might think it looks decently even. But nah, the protoss just blows through it with very few losses.
Is it normal for an attack to not always register? At 3:59 you see the SCV get attacked, and by the time it is 4:03, you see the SCV's health at 40/60. The Dragoon attacked the SCV three times within those few seconds so I would have expected the SCV's health to be at 30/60 (10 damage/hit)
Couldnt he timed it with siege and have like 7 tanks against pure goon at that point? Looked like he would smash that if they were sieged. I guess that would be a tad bit later but still worth it I think
Sure ,7 tanks with siegemode and a controlgroup of vultures to screen for them is better but Speed knows Dewalt is going to have a reaver out soon, so he has to move out without ranged goliaths or wait for those but that slows down a push too.
Yes, if you search Kickback in his RUclips channel the games will come up. I think he has about 10 of them. It is an interesting concept for a map. I would like to see it explored with only of the extra bases in the main having a gas.
that first exchange was botched traded horribly and still goes for 3rd....probably so laggy he didnt even care to try....lets not pretend dewalt is good we all saw him attacking goon first and zlots getting blocked. classic dewalt never sets up his attacks.....just one of the reasons he will never make asl.
Your uncontrollable compulsion to continually highlight and rehighlight the same units again and again and again while there is nothing really happening and you are just sharing some of your thoughts about this or that is only just one of the things that makes this channel great. Literal chills. ❄🥶🧊

DeWalt is the boss.
I don't think he's good enough to make it into SSL. If he gets a lucky bracket it's possible. There's too many good Zerg and Protoss players.

He really figured arbiter play. Looking forward to it in SSL.
DeWalt baited extra vultures with his reaver drop making his Zealot spam much harder to push back. Insanely good baiting
masterful baiting one could say
You obviously don't know how to play the game.

Apparently, he doesn't get too bad of ping to korea. Might be in easternish Russia.
I also felt that the no GG was due to high latency. The micro from both sides seemed to be very delayed sometimes.
