I used to gig as a duo with my best friend and we used to play this. We sadly lost that wonderful man to suicide 7 years ago, and although I can’t really watch this movie any more I still listen to this song (and occasionally play it by myself), and it still makes me feel the way I did when I played it with him. I’m so grateful for this recording.
Man I remember listening to this song back in 2014, that's when I discovered it. I was a freshman in high school, a very quiet kid for sure who really had no idea what's in front of him. And now 7 years later, to look back on this, it brings so many memories at the same time that I feel puzzled, yet I feel so nostalgic and kind of weird, to think of myself from that time, and look at myself now. I know this is an overused phrase but really - time fricking flies, real fast. Cherish every moment, feel every moment the way you feel this song, just live man. Whoever reads this I hope you have a great day, and no matter what is going on in your life, don't look down, keep moving forward and keep living. Life is an adventure for sure.
@luodansixiang Just found this today after looking for a similar, sadder song I know from the Revolutionary War tv show, Turn: Washington's Spies. I go back to that one once every so often, and I guess I found another good one too. Interesting you say you were a freshman in 2014 bc I was too, we must be more or less the same age, but I still don't know what's in front of me haha. I do know though that some kind of solar EMP disaster will happen to the whole earth soon, so I guess that explains why I've never really known what I wanted to do with my life lol. Sorry I haven't any other way to say this, I just wanted to tell someone at least to try to save one life, as crazy as I sound here. Go ahead and call bullshit if you want, but I just wanted to tell you that bc it's cool to find another mature zoomer my age haha. I hope you survive it and find peace and the truth. I used to disregard doomsday preppers until I learned about Agenda 2030 four years ago among other things, let alone Covid following afterward and next being this EMP, it has all weighed heavily on my heart because I can't find evidence to refute it. I wish I was speaking nonsense, and I'm sorry I don't have the link with me, but please search The Earth Disaster Documentary by the channel Suspicious Observers. You have every right to know what's going on, I can tell you deserve to survive this (not like I'm the one calling the shots lol) and pass on that wisdom. I pray you'll find a way to keep your friends and family safe! Godspeed, dude, farewell!
My mother bought the soundtrack for Easter. Played that every day on the way to school. Lost her a few years back. Musics still good almost ten years later.
@@CT-6210 Im sorry you seem to feel so hopeless. There is a way out Josh. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light. Only through Jesus. He has already paid the price for you. Just ask Him. ❤️
I'm here because of Inside Llewyn Davis, Coen Brothers, Oscar Isaac and the late and great Dave Van Ronk (and of course Dink, the young lady who originally wrote and sang this lovely song). peace.
Saw this movie yesterday and I was really impressed with Oscar Isaac's musical performances. He really delivered this classic folk song with a his own tone and style.
To my fellow Supernatural fans: Ever since God played this song at the end of the episode I've fallen completely in love with it and I can't listen to it without crying. It reminds me of what my boys have been through and that, one day, maybe sooner than we think, it will end. And I don't want to think about losing my favorite brothers. This song reminds me that maybe, just maybe, the boys deserve a break. That they deserve a peaceful end soon. They have fought for us for over a decade, and we've loved them for it, but maybe it's time we let them go. That scene showed so much hope again, and we all know it's just the calm before the storm. They've had so many storms. They deserve peace.
All jokes aside though, Rob Benedict’s cover is very good. And in the show, it’s no autotune, or any after effects. It’s all Rob working his magic (pun intended)
Haha he was only affected by finding out the was going to kamikaze against Amara But yeah, he did have a damn good voice I love season 11, definitely the best next to 5

I can't explain the effect this movie had on me. People say it was depressing, but I felt uplifted after seeing it. With all his suffering Llewyn is on the cusp of something wonderful. If this kind of music was played on the pop stations, I might turn on the radio. Just beautiful beyond words!
