Beautiful bike best bike ever made imo. I had a 1977 z1000 when I was young and it is my biggest regret ever parting with it. They are just a little out of my reach.
Why do all the purported "73" Z-1s I see have the "74" side covers? . . the original Z-1 said 903. Only in "74" did they go to 900. I KNOW , I HAD A '74!
Sounds a bit sick. Must be disappointing to ride like that. Change the oil and filters. New plugs, points assembly, do the timing, clean the carbies and add fresh fuel then sync the carbies and go for a ride. You can polish as much as you want but it aint going to run any better, Should fire up straight away.
Meant to be ridden not hiding . Shame wish i were a millionair i would go to a berrets auction buy an low milage say 70 barracuda convertible worth say 2 mill. And go out and drive it daily.
