LOVE THE BIG LETTERS. Woodburner here. Work w small hobby letters, using Xacto blades. Allows for a straight edge..w/o any funky nicks from cutting. FASTER TOO. Obviously not for a curved letter. Lol. Thank You, for s great idea.
Wonderful tutorial! Is it necessary to put strips on the outside edges? I'm thinking of just putting paper on the front for my baby's name in the nursery. What do you think? Will that work, too?
Yes Susanna, you can make them without putting the strips around the edges. Here's the complete how-to on our blog: runningwithsisters.com/decorate-a-wooden-letter-using-mod-podge/ Jennifer & Kitty
Hi Omar, Sorry for the delayed reply. We moved! Yes you can use regular wall paint. To glue the letters together you might want to mount them on a background piece of wood. Otherwise there's not much contact between the edges to connect them. Good luck! Jennifer & Kitty
Hi, love the video. Wanted to ask does the midge podge not smudge the thing you are putting it on. Such as I can use a picture of my child on the alphabet shape? I'd print it on normal paper... Not an actual photograph.. Or would that work too? Many thanks x
Great question! We seal our photos before using Mod Podge on them. Here's a post we found about a few different ways to seal your photos. piddix.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-to-prevent-smudges-and-bleeding.html Hope that helps! J&K
Can I use this like a vanish?? cause I want to paint my thingy(like a phone case or whatever) with acrylic paint, and I need to finish it. can I use this for it?

Great question Sarah! We have heard of people using white craft glue like Elmer's as a substitute for Mod Podge. Here's a description of the advantages of using real Mod Podge: modpodgerocksblog.com/you-shouldnt-make-mod-podge/ You can get Mod Podge at Michaels, JoAnn, Hobby Lobby and online at Amazon. J&K

Do u have to use a sealer afterwards? It says it dries clear but you need the mod podge sealer or else it will be sticky??
Great question! Mod Podge is also a sealer so no extra sealer is needed.

Should I prime the wood before white paint and if yes which primer please ? Thank you
It never hurts to prime wood before painting. We use Krylon spray primer.

You can iron the paper flat. Use parchment paper to cover your paper and then iron it flat.
