What about the Easy Bake Oven?
HA !
40w Appliance bulbs are still sold. so you can still have your easy bake oven or lava lamp, you cant put a led in a oven.
@@brianmoran3450 40w Appliance bulbs are still sold. so you can still have your easy bake oven or lava lamp, you cant put a led in a oven.
Ha!
LEDs DO NOT last 25 times longer, that’s a myth.
yes they do
I'd guess it depends on usage. I don't know about 25x, but I'd wager that 10x is a safe bet. So you cut buying replacement bulbs 10 to 1, and you save on the energy cost per bulb (60w vs 8w).
The typical home will probably save a couple hundred bucks a year. The more lights, the more savings. Mathematically, you can't lose in the long run.
Eat taco bell please
Taco Bell rules! Ohh and trump is going to jail and Sleepy Joe will be president for 4 more years.
@@drunk_astronomyLet’s hope not.
I don't see private jets being banned.
Great idea! I agree!!
I wonder if they'll try to stop scalpers from selling incandescents online.
I doubt it. Plus, when it stops being a rightwing virtue signal, people won’t even talk about the ban.
There's still selling incandescent bulbs on eBay as much as 2 to 300 watts. I seen a 1500 watt light bulb on there
I think there should be a 1,000% tax on incandescent light bulbs instead of a ban. Ik I use LEDs and it saves way more money on my electric bills, but I think there are theatre stage uses for it. There is no other reason than historic authenticity to use incandescent light bulbs.
this is so messed up you should be able to choose.
*COME & TAKE IT!!!*
please state your address.
I'm with you. I know, right!
are they gonna steal our lightbulbs
No. It’s a manufacture and sale ban.
A bulb that burns twice as bright live half as long.
That’s not how light bulbs work
But where i live the power company is raising power bills $18 a month . So how does that save us money ?
That’s not how you get billed, learn with a kilowatt hour is.
These bulbs will be sold on the corner im college hill for $20 👀🤣
Many with poor vision prefer filament bulbs, especially for reading.
Phillips LEDs are indistinguishable from incandescent bulbs. Use those.
@@drunk_astronomyIt's understandable you are unable to manage your own life and take responsibility for yourself. You have replied to every comment that is against this mandate. A lot of people are willing to spend a little bit of extra money on their electric bill for certain lights in their house to be incandescent. I mostly use LED but I use incandescent in certain sockets where I would like to dim a nice smooth filament. I'm sure there are things you spend money on that emit carbon that are not necessary for your existence but for your pleasure.
The only reason you support this is because you have a mental disorder in which you derive pleasure from controlling people. You are too weak to control people on your own and so you support a mob that does the aggressing for you. It is really pathetic from a third party perspective. Instead of worrying about the $10 I would like to spend extra on my electric bill for quality lighting in a few sockets, how about the 500 billion stolen from the public and sent over to Ukraine to slaughter people. Or the countless other ways our government robs us of our resources.

First it’s incandescent light bulbs next they’ll be banning the manufacturing and sale of gas powered cars with the same reasoning.
Have fun if you have older homes with older style lighting bases and/or ballasts. The bulbs might save you money in the long run if you’re just swapping a bulb.
That's not the point. if LEDs are as great as you claim then a ban wouldn't be necessary.
@@jvanek8512Wow two stupid comments for the price of one!
Incandescent is more relaxing. The led lights create a certain stressful environment
You'll get used to it long term.
In Europe the sales ban has been around a long time. So long that many probably by now are through any old style bulbs.
And though yes early LED lights were... questionable. Many modern ones are pretty decent.
I pick up in the comments that many houses have sub par wiring...
What’s funny is Led’s draw lower amps then incandescent bulbs. So if anything it’s more safe to have lower current.
Really what we have a situation of a bunch of boomers and conservatives having a fox news induced panic attack. They have become nothing more than a closed society of contrarians.
@@drunk_astronomy ... Some people just have to be dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. 😆
But once they get over their stages of grief, they will eventually try LEDs (when they have no choice after their incandescents run out) and realize they aren't half bad. Heck, they might even enjoy watching their electric bills drop.
@@stephencooper3583 you seem too ignorant to realize something that may seem like a small thing, such as banning icondesesnt, is really taking away your freedom of choice. If you had a car that was old, but still ran good, would you be alright with being forced to buy a brand new one if the governemnt said that your old one was not 'gas efficient?' I don't know what it is like where you live, but for me I need that warmth from the incondesent in the winter. It gets COLD where I live. Any extra heat is necessary. And I am not okay with the force change of something that has been around for a long time, and has working perfectly fine. Last I checked, freedom means having a choice, but apparently not anymore. Our freedoms are being taken away, until we only are allowed to have have LED and electric cars and electric stoves. No choice between gas or electric appliances is coming next after this. Just wait. Then no cash will be allowed. Don't you understand? This is not for the greater good. It is all about taking away our freedoms. I will go back to candle and lanterns before I switch to LED lights.

@@drunk_astronomy they may want to put a warning on the LED bulbs especially now that more and more of them look identical to a regular incandescent especially if it has frosted glass. My oven doesn't have convection so I'm not concerned about vibration. In the past we have put regular 60 watt incandescent bulbs in it. However I just make sure I keep a supply of proper Appliance bulbs.
I only have one 60watt light bulb left, and when that bulb goes so does tge last light socket. The government can't tell me that I can't ban all of my light sockets. Try this one for size government. All CFL's, and L.E.Ds have been banned in my house! I all ready have taken steps to remove all light sockets off of my ceilings, and removing all light switches as well. If I can't have my incandescent bulbs, I will not support or have tge circuits that power them! I will also be removing many of the replicas in my house, so that no added lighting can be used.
