I'd ask the storage unit people to call the family first to see if they even want the remains and are going to pick them up... bec if there is no response they are just going to throw them away anyways. So then u wouldn't waste a trip and ud get the jewlrey too. Bec of they aren't coming the storage unit people are keeping the jewels. I could only ever hope that my ashes would never be in a box in storage unit however if they were and you came across them and went through all of that effort, the long drive, the flowers in the ocean, (especially as I love the ocean, snorkelling, swimming, waterspouts etc) trying to impart some decency on the facility too, just a true gentlemen and a kind heart like so many others have commented, I am in complete agreement with all of them. The jewelry Tuck found with the ashes probably didn't go through the fire with the previous owner's body. A) it would be in the box with the ashes and B) diamonds often crack under that kind of direct heat. Settings in gold melt. That said, my body has been donated to UConn Forensics school if the med school doesn't want me. No one's going to find my cremains in a locker.
I think it's morbid to keep ashes. The person and the soul is gone.
@@TenebarumI feel the same, but everyone is different. My sister in law found great comfort in her husband's ashes. Nothing crazy, she just needed time. When the time came, she let them go. To each their own I guess

Tucker I've watched hundreds of hours of youtubbers going through storage units. One thing is the same. Every unit is a gamble. Just because this one had some good stuff doesn't mean if you spend that much again or see a similar looking unit that it will have the same outcome. Been watching you for years want the best for you and your familty. Peace

some of the Christmas could be vintage and worth a little bit of money. The chess pieces, save all the not broken ones and sell them in a lot. Someone may be missing those pieces and be happy to get them. You are such a good human. Thank you for sharing your life and stories with us.
I love you guys more each video!!! You will ALWAYS be blessed because of your pure heart!!!! Advice from an old couple that Theifts- You have to start using a dolly/trolly to put boxes in and out! A board to slide into truck. If you don’t come up with your own way to move those boxes and put in truck you will get a hernia from all the lifting. Nothing worse than an old man complaining how bad his “jewels” are hurting. My hubby says it’s the worse! Keep up the great work!! I hope you do the Auctions right here on You Tube! What you did was amazing, I just worry the person you passed the ashes to is as honest and compassionate when it comes down to passing the jewellery to the family as well. It’s a nice thought to hope everyone is as compassionate as you but it’s a big ask.
Cremated remains can be shipped through the mail (USPS). Much cheaper than gas and toll money on a drive to Long Island and back.
