Thank you for being considerate and tidying up. Most of us are overjoyed when people take stuff from our hard rubbish piles. It makes room for more stuff to go out, but some people just throw everything everywhere, leaving a terrible mess, which is unbelievably rude.
My gosh Poly the stuff you got on this haul is just outstanding. Just amazing my friend. Hope your doing well. See ya on the next adventure and always stay safe. Love and respect ❤
Wow, what is score this is fantastic you did good kiddo. Great video glad to see you out and round a little bit. Have a great weekend take care hugs to all🥰
An awesome day scrapping Poly. It's amazing just how quickly the cans add up in value, we have been enjoying collecting cans for cash for decades here in S.A. look after the pennies and the dollars will look after themselves. Keep up the good work mate.
Hi Poly, the strange tube with handles can be used to plant T post for a fence. I am always happy to see your videos and surprised with the size of your kerbside mountains. I herd you say it was hot... on this side of the planet, it was -24 celcius last night and next one will get down to -20. Cold week. Last week we had two snowstorms in 4 days, each one giving 35 to 40 cm of snow.

Australia appears to have high quality scraps. And your neighborhoods looks just like some of ours in the U.S. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Good luck on your hunt.
The cuz has been selling the non ferrous. His set up can’t tow as much so I take steel and he sells the good stuff. Problem is he sometimes forgets to record 🙄😂
Polly, welcome to the aluminum can and bottle club. It's making money and that is what counts. I really like your short videos and the longer ones are great also. Keep scraping and send me some warm weather here in the mountains of North Carolina,USA. It's a nice 24 out side, that is cold, very cold.

I recently heard the term "Urban mining" to refer to the scavenging . Oh where will it go from there ? Surgical waste certainly deserves a better name.
I love throw outs, once when I was cash strapped I sold stuff from the curb for spending money for a NZ trip and made $1000 in 6 months, that’s without even going out of my way to find piles! Chairs, rugs and little side tables sold like hotcakes after a quick clean up.
Heya poly, i to say i like watching youre videos it makes me feel like im in there too 😅 you can find good things.. but hope you are well & also taking care of yourself as well.. & just a quick question You know when you cut the cords to take.. what do the company to with them cords? As it always buffles my thoughts 😂🤔💭
Council does ONE kerbside pickup a year in Darwin - a cleanup to reduce the risk of someone being hit by a flying microwave if we have a cyclone - and from memory it starts in September. Of course, that is a minor detail to those who see the beginning of the dry season (May-Dec) as their cue to start putting everything they can find on the kerb ;)
I saw the high cyclone fences you have for all properties on spanians walk through Darwin. He thought it was to keep thieves out but is it for the debris when it storms?
@@PolyProphet Both - the razor wire is a nice touch tho. The best fence I've seen is just up the road in the upmarket suburb of Parap - far more subtle than the 'Stalag 17' jobbies but it seems just as effective. Council seems to ignore the older homes with 7 foot high brick fences but this mesh fence is much better.
I used to do this in America and I look up a question you try and resell all the stuff of resellable value right like the spoiler if the Jack works. Question 2 why don't you have a cordless impact drill driver. So you can take all the metal. We have a saying in America when you're scrapping we're too poor to leave anything behind no scrap left behind. I personally would have got out my drill driver and remove the vinyl and wood off the top of those tall metal chairs. But everyone does it differently and if you got enough to fill the truck one way or another every time I understand. Have a great day enjoyed watching
I do have a drill though I’m trying to get in front of the most piles possible in the 2-4hr timeframe I have. So I try to avoid breaking things down if I can. I’m still trying to find the right balance.
When I first moved to Australia I did this to make ends meat, now I run a multimillion dollar construction company, so I can tell you this guy knows the value of a dollar and has a good work ethic so will go far in life.

Yes this is just the steel for the week. There’s also income from non ferrous, resell and video revenue. I spend about 20hrs a week making and editing these videos so have time for other streams of income like editing for others and mentoring
Good on you man, I respect what you’re doing here, was just wondering if you make a quid from it. Some people are really wasteful hey, most of the lawnmowers that I see on the kerbside work fine, would be easy enough to sell them on FB for $50 but people are just too lazy. Keep up the good work!
Do you have to ask permission to remove homeowners rubbish from curb or is it just a courtesy? Do the homeowners have to pay an extra fee to have that much trash picked up? The city i live in is 2 bags of trash a week, plus all the container and paper recycling. We would be getting a notice from city if we put even a fraction of that junk out.
Most people don’t but I find it works better for me. I met one of my washer guys that way and the mechanic in this video. We’re allowed 3 cubic meters twice a year. The cardboard and general waste should not be there, but it always is, just like car batteries shouldn’t be out there. The garbage men will leave the batteries but still load the general waste.
The council used to use to have collection months but too much trash on the street so council/ usually just offer the free pickup - if people don’t use it - then they don’t have trash
Hi I'm glad your doing what your doing - but I don't understand why the owners don't take some of there stuff to a goodwill or thrift store instead of leaving it for the garbage truck there is some really nice stuff that people can reuse ❣️❣️like if washer or dryers work give them to someone for free such a shame recycling is reusing it again not dumping them in dump if they still are in good condition ❣️
This was quite the ride! What a haul! Best beyond! We're in winter here. do you have a different season there? obviously, but do you get a type of winter there?
