Converting USD to GBP in payoneer is very poor. For any amount greater than 100 USD, the best payment option is domiciliary account. Collect the cash and change it at black market.
Very valid thought 👌🏽 These platforms don't exactly match black market rates, sometimes 10 to 25 naira difference, what they offer is a second best alternative, and convenience. It's just good to have different options. But then again, very valid contribution.

I don't think there is just yet, although I'll advice you contact both Payoneer and Grey support as it can help speed up the process, but I've personally experienced where refunds took up to a week or two

In most cases the money gets reversed. But I'll suggest you quickly contact both grey and Payoneer support to complain about this so they'll be in the know and expedite the return process

Hi Eunice, it's a bit tricky to calculate if you are transfer from USD to GBP because a conversion has to be done. But as a general rule of thumb, they charge around 2% of the amount transferred
I have done transactions that took less than 30mins, the longest was just yesterday, the money arrived today, it took about 24hours, and to be fair it's weekend, yesterday Saturday and it arrived today Sunday. So relatively, payout time is pretty fast (PS: Payout from your grey to local bank account is almost instant)
So I just created a gbp account on grey, it has the name of the bank as clear Junction limited, however, it isn't among the options when I try to link my payoneer
Yes Charles, coz clear junction is not exactly a bank but a fintech company. What you do is, under Bank name, select "Other", and you'll get an option to type in the bank name, then you type in "Clear Junction Limited" And then proceed to enter the account number and other details. @@danieladeoye4395 I tried it, it worked. I was able to convert currencies even though I haven't received up to 1k in the account. The restriction has to do with sending to another payoneer user. You can't send to another payoneer user if you haven't earned up to 1k in the account.
I have it so many times and it works just fine, but not the USD account, don't use that yet as they say it's still down, I've only transfered into and withdrawn from the GBP account. Also if you are scared, just do a small transaction first then go from there

Hey, I currently just have a NIN slip, but on the grey app before you can create a GBP or EUR account, they request for an ID, the problem is that they request for an issue date and expiration date of the ID but the NIN slip has none of that. Please what would you suggest since my NIN slip is my only means of ID atm. Also, does Grey transfer to Kuda bank? The reason I ask is because when I tried transferring USD from my Payoneer account to Kuda earlier this year, the money never reached my account (I had to contact Kuda and they said they don't receive USD payments, I had to speak to a Payoneer customer care agent as well before I got the refund, it was a whole thing). It's not always advisable to link someone's account to yours, however it's possible but Payoneer will require you to go through some process before allowing it. For amount you can do, Payoneer has a $3000 daily transaction limit

Technically you can, but Payoneer will query you if you try to link a bank that is not in your name, they will ask for some documents before they approve, sometimes they don't approve

In Payoneer, it shows that the transfer was successful, but I have not received the money in my Grey. Is it really supposed to take less than an hour? Because then this is an anomaly. It was exactly the same for me, linking the USD account worked, but withdrawal was refunded after a few days, but the GBP account worked and withdrawal was almost instant
This is a great and very informative video, but while watching this video I couldn’t just help but think, “Crypto solves this!” You don’t even have to be a crypto fanatic or even a fan of it to realize the potential of crypto to make this a much seamless process. Or my earnings are still in USD but it is converted to GBP equivalent on grey? 2. The final amount you withdrew into your naira account. That difference of conversion is quite huge. Initially, the sum of everything was approximately 27k as at the time of conversion while you were calculating. However,. as at the point of getting into your naira account, it was 22k thereabouts. A whole 5k deduction. Isn't that much?
1. No, you can receive in USD and withdraw to your grey GBP just like I showed 👍🏾 2. The amount I withdrew was already in my account, it's different from the 50usd I used as an example. If I had withdrawn 50usd I'd have got 27k like I explained in the example. I just used the 30GBP I had in my account to show how to withdraw from grey to my local bank account. I hope that makes sense
@@tobibonike Yes you can, especially if you sometimes get paid directly in GBP, you won't have to do any conversion and lose a few bucks in the process, that's why I have those different receiving currency accounts on my Payoneer. But if I receive USD, I pay a fraction in conversation and withdraw to GBP 👍🏾

Thanks Francis, I just made a withdrawal from FIVERR using this same process and my money was so worth it. I used to use PayPal vendors cos I have no idea how it works, to make my FIVERR withdrawal and they usually give me a rate of like 380/$ and now I just made withdrawal myself using this same process at the rate almost double..... Hello boss, what if i wanted to withdraw from my Payoneer usd balance to grey usd balance?
I tried and it didn't work, grey confirmed that they are working on the USD virtual accounts, so maybe after that it would be going through and if that's the case I'll update

Do you need to have received up to $1k in your payoneer account before you are allowed to convert currencies?
Yes there are limitations of you account is new and not many transactions
So please what can be done to solve this issue
@@danieladeoye4395 I tried it, it worked. I was able to convert currencies even though I haven't received up to 1k in the account. The restriction has to do with sending to another payoneer user. You can't send to another payoneer user if you haven't earned up to 1k in the account.
Pls have you tried to withdraw from ur grey account to ur Nigeria bank account, I want to try it but I'm scared it might hang.
I have it so many times and it works just fine, but not the USD account, don't use that yet as they say it's still down, I've only transfered into and withdrawn from the GBP account. Also if you are scared, just do a small transaction first then go from there

Hey, I currently just have a NIN slip, but on the grey app before you can create a GBP or EUR account, they request for an ID, the problem is that they request for an issue date and expiration date of the ID but the NIN slip has none of that. Please what would you suggest since my NIN slip is my only means of ID atm.
Also, does Grey transfer to Kuda bank? The reason I ask is because when I tried transferring USD from my Payoneer account to Kuda earlier this year, the money never reached my account (I had to contact Kuda and they said they don't receive USD payments, I had to speak to a Payoneer customer care agent as well before I got the refund, it was a whole thing). However, do you think it'll be possible to transfer from Grey to Kuda bank since they have an option of NGN?

It's not always advisable to link someone's account to yours, however it's possible but Payoneer will require you to go through some process before allowing it.
For amount you can do, Payoneer has a $3000 daily transaction limit

When I tried to link my GBP account from Grey to my payoneer, the only allowed documents for verification were Passport and Driver’s license, but all I have is a NIN Slip

A document is not supposed to be required to link your account. Is your payoneer account new?

@@yakndaraallen2019 Oh I see, that's the reason, if the NIN is all you have or a voters card, try uploading that regardless, I've not personally used any of those, but they could acknowledge it as a valid means of identification

Technically you can, but Payoneer will query you if you try to link a bank that is not in your name, they will ask for some documents before they approve, sometimes they don't approve

In Payoneer, it shows that the transfer was successful, but I have not received the money in my Grey.

It was exactly the same for me, linking the USD account worked, but withdrawal was refunded after a few days, but the GBP account worked and withdrawal was almost instant
This is a great and very informative video, but while watching this video I couldn’t just help but think, “Crypto solves this!” You don’t even have to be a crypto fanatic or even a fan of it to realize the potential of crypto to make this a much seamless process. 1. On the grey GBP stuff, does it mean I have to receive my payment from my freelance job in GBP? Or my earnings are still in USD but it is converted to GBP equivalent on grey?
2. The final amount you withdrew into your naira account. That difference of conversion is quite huge. Initially, the sum of everything was approximately 27k as at the time of conversion while you were calculating. However,. as at the point of getting into your naira account, it was 22k thereabouts. A whole 5k deduction. Isn't that much?
1. No, you can receive in USD and withdraw to your grey GBP just like I showed 👍🏾
2. The amount I withdrew was already in my account, it's different from the 50usd I used as an example. If I had withdrawn 50usd I'd have got 27k like I explained in the example. I just used the 30GBP I had in my account to show how to withdraw from grey to my local bank account. I hope that makes sense

@@tobibonike Yes you can, especially if you sometimes get paid directly in GBP, you won't have to do any conversion and lose a few bucks in the process, that's why I have those different receiving currency accounts on my Payoneer. But if I receive USD, I pay a fraction in conversation and withdraw to GBP 👍🏾

Thanks Francis, I just made a withdrawal from FIVERR using this same process and my money was so worth it.
I used to use PayPal vendors cos I have no idea how it works, to make my FIVERR withdrawal and they usually give me a rate of like 380/$ and now I just made withdrawal myself using this same process at the rate almost double..... @@makemoneyonline6278 The most common reason why Payoneer blocks accounts is if they notice multiple accounts opened using the same ID, so the incessant blocking of your new accounts is most likely because you have an account active and therefore can't create another.
