iv watched the dev logs for the development & played the game myself in order to create a biome, you need to place certain plants that spread that spisific biome that stat that says "spread biome" that's not what they like, it's what biome they like what they like it's under "habitat" which explains everything that they like or dislike
Certain plants spread a certain biome (the spreads info on the item) so if you place a plant that says spreads forest then placing that plant on a empty patch of land will spread a forest.
