- Bought a Threshold Floor Lamp from Target and thought I would share the experience of trying to put it together. An honest assessment of materials used and if it builds out to look like the one on the side of the box. Join us as we build the Target floor lamp with shelves item 15401197.

even 4 years later this video was INCREDIBLY helpful! I just bought this lamp from Target last night and the paper instructions were way too complicated for me to understand clearly. This video was a godsend! Target should send you a gift card for providing such clear, easy-to-follow instructions to so many of their customers! thank you for taking the time to film this 🙏

So there I was, having a genuine mini-mental breakdown on my living room floor surrounded by several tiny screws and a looming sense of lifelong failure when I realized that I was repeatedly misunderstanding how to stick rectangular blocks of wood together. After I panic searched to find answers and I stumbled onto this video I felt like I was embraced by a larger community of individuals also unable to read Target's DaVinci code-hieroglyphic hybrid of a manual and we were all saved by your user-friendly explanation

Dude you have been a lifesaver for me this evening. I bought this floor lamp for my closed circuit room in my new apartment with no overhead lighting.... I’ve been using a desk lamp to light my room for a week and just now got time to complete my assembly of this cute af floor lamp. AND me being me, somehow I can’t find the instructions. I’m not mechanically inclined - terrible at building things and I needed help FAST. And there you were, like an angel! 😇 Thank you so much! You were even BETTER than reading the instructions because of all your warning about overtightening etc. you rock. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, sincerely a 26 year old lady whose last shop class was like 13 years ago 😜😬😬

Thank you for putting this video together, I opened the box, and thought there is no way I am going to put this together, I looked at the instructions, and thought is this a joke, I was going to return it but came across your video, it was so helpful that I went and bought a 2nd lamp of this kind. Target should pay you for this video, you saved them a lot of returns of this product.

The instructions that came in the box were incomprehensible, I was ready to just throw this back in the car and return it, and then at the last minute... I thought to youtube this, and there you were, the light at the end of the tunnel. You're calm and clear instructions.... made so easy. I can't thank you enough!!!!

I just bought this Lamp yesterday and set it up, put on a 1k luminance lightbulb and put it into the corner of my living in my Apartment, 1 shelf is used for my Modem the 2nd shelf is used for my Router and at the bottom fits my Vizio Subwoofer perfectly! I love this Lamp! The 1k+ Bulb gives brightness and the space holds my Router, Modem and Subwoofer! Hiding all my cords behind the Sub it's perfect and makes for a nice looking organized lamp with good brightness!

I was highly disappointed $65, It's light, and cheap looking. The shade was missing, Check all parts before starting.
Sorry to hear it had a missing shade. It not high end, but if you manage to build it and leave it alone, it looks fine. We added a smart LED bulb that we control through Alexa so we don't have to fish about for the switch. Thanks for the feedback and watching.

You would think having good directions would lead to fewer returns, but Target doesn't see it as a priority.
