I think this one, technically speaking has "better" music because they instruments sound more realistic. I do agree with the general consensus that the SNES version appears superior.
Longer levels r nice, but the space lvls were dumbed down to shooting gallery status in the SNES version. No enemies on the walls within big ships or stuff like that. The game looks great but it didnt start out very complex, and it got even simpler in design when it went to snes. Honorable mention: it WAS nice that they added more weapons in the snes version.
meh, as u say it's your opinion man, anyway i think STG deserves more recognition, it just died without being even noticed and games like Aerofighters had so much hype in those days
the bullets on the hardest mode are faster than this since Arcade versions are always like an average+ difficulty Also it has more weapons to choose, the stages are longer and the bosses are harder to beat
I don't know what about with this game... I see it's a beloved one but, I don't like it, it's too simplistic and generic for me. It won't never be the worst, but I think there's something that every shoot 'em up should have as its own, something to give charisma. I feel S.T.G. lacks charisma. Sorry for my english.
The arcade version had at least somewhat less bland backgrounds compared to the SNES version. Don't forget, each has it's own pros and cons.
The ending, you think you destroy enemy mother ship, turns out its just one of these landing wagons.
The arcade version is gonna be rereleased from Arcade Archives for the Nintendo Switch and PS4 on September 21st, 2023 worldwide

The final boss is more like the Death Star trench run from Star Wars, instead of straight up final battle in the arcade version...
Strike Gunner S.T.G is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING with STUNNING graphics and AWESOME gameplay
the beginning musical pattern makes me amped
What did instruments did Sho created sound & music of the game?
Name all those songs (artist - title)?

knightrider4545 i was 16 the time.
Where can I find this soundtrack?
I'd love to see someone here do a run on Terminal Velocity.
Realy is amazin i ve played it at first time in 1994
I never knew there was even an arcade. I thought it was snes only
i guess the arcade version was first and then it was polished during its port to snes , because the sprites except for the not-f14s all look rougher
arcade version its too short...... i think snes version its better...
Most Arcade games are. That is why they make it hard as possible in order to generate money.
So the arcade version has fewer levels, inferior sound and art, but it is a better game because it is faster? nah.
aweosome

I wonder if u ever beaten the game instead just watching the gameplays on YT
16:47 Lol!!!!!
boring? LOL try to beat it in the hardest difficulty solo and without the gay megabeam cannon
I know but that opinion sounds so... basic and it doesn't even have any reason beside personal taste : / it's like an IGN reviewer !
What is the music title in 3:53?
