El-Rufai Opens Up, Explains Why He Visited SDP Office

- The immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is a man that is never far from grabbing the headlines for various reasons. After a hiatus following the completion of his two terms as a Governor, the enigmatic Mallam is at it again. The former Governor sparked criticisms and insinuation of jumping ship, when he met with the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Shehu Gabam at the party secretariat in Abuja. But El-Rufai said he is not planning to dump the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. His spokesman, Muyiwa Adekeye explained that the meeting was to return a visit to Gabam, who visited El-Rufai for Iftar on the 19th of March.

It's revealing that both analysts, who on normal occasions tend to be unanimous in their overview of events, presently do not seem to be on the same page. Yet, while one is being circumspect in his offering and the other may have only spoken to millions of watchers, the generality of Nigerians are not to be taken in that the man el Rufai has finally gotten over the bitterness of being ditched for a ministerial appointment by the current Asiwaju administration.
Why didn’t he pay the return visit to the fellow at his house? It was a private visit initially and in return El-Rufai made sure his return visit become the subject of national news.

I disagree with BKO on this issue. We're not surprised about elrufai visit to SDP Secretariat. The petition written against him that stoped him from been a minister hinged principally on national security. Since then, he has being so bittered and concerned on how to buried the truth. This explains why he chose to returned visit to SDP national chairman in the Secretariat. The main idea was to divert our attentions from the weighty petition against him, bordering on national security, terrorism financing, misuse of state power and conspiracy. BKO leave us alone and let's concentrate on serious matter of national concerns.
we know that tinubu beg mallam to accept a position in his goverment it was a public video also 2 days after d senate not clearing him he made it clear he is not interested in the ministerial position anymore,also like it or not mallam is the next president of Nigeria

He might not win on the first attempt if he was to contest in 2027 but if he lives to contest again in 2031 he could win and some of the parties can merge to defeat APC! these are possibilities and there are other possibilities as well

@dhulkifladar8178 Pleaee Buhari did not win presidential through the New Party. ANPP has been a 3rd strongest opposition party and AC was the 2nd strongest opposition party since 1999 and they both merged together to defeat PDP which was the strongest party then.
Anpp was stronger and older than Ac.
1999 was pdp vs Anpp, and most anpp jumped ship to pdp.
Ac was a third force, from the old Ad(Alliance for democracy) they presented gubernatorial candidates for each state and supported OBJ of the pdp leading to their death and Lagos and Tinubu were the only survivor Which morphed to AC presenting Atiku against OBJ and Ribadu in subsequent presidential elections.@@user-hj9qj4td7q

Why MUST Nigerians always think that people from different parties do not have life outside their political parties? Does it mean when El Rufai was APC Governor his friends from other political parties could visit him in his office? Parties headquarters are not defection center that once a non party member visits the center he or she is automatically considering defection. The former Presidential Candidate of the LP has been visiting Mosques since the Ramadan season and during the campaign he was known to be visiting churches, does it now mean that he is considering being a Muslim? Politics should not be tied to friendships and family relationship. Nigerians get it wrong when it comes to politics. they simply don't know where it ends. El Rufai does not need to visit the SDP office to defect, it is not a party requirement.
The initial visit was private. What stopped El Rufai from returning the visit to the man's private house? He instead visited their party HQ. There is a reason.

Jide is so afraid of El-Rufai leaving APC and becoming a problem to Tinubu. Someone that was disgraced nationally by this government after helping to institute Tinubu.
