Either way I do it it doesn't work and gives me "no supported authentication methods available (server sent publickey)". -I also noticed at --5:10-- you have a "known hosts" folder which I don't appear to have, maybe that has something to do with it?- *edit* The known hosts thing is probably because my server is on opera cloud
Don’t worry about the known hosts the only part from this video you should do is after 8:00. Yes it does appear that I click on public key that’s why I pot the text to make sure people don’t do it. With the error you get it appears that your private key is still not in putty format. Try converting it again and save it with new name and make sure you use the new key when trying to connect.
Also depending on how old your windows is you may be able to ssh directly from the command like I do in Mac terminal so you don’t have to use putty and convert the private key. What happens if you run ssh -V in your windows terminal?
@@TechTute Resaving and renaming they ps key still didn't work (as private key). In Command Prompt "ssh -V" comes out as "OpenSSH_for_Windows_8.1p1, LibreSSL 3.0.2". Is this part necessary for making the bedrock server in the other vid? Just unsure if I can move past this, fix it, or work around it. I do really appreciate the help, I'm a first time learner.
@@shaanpatel9814 that’s good, you do have ssh client on your windows then open cmd and cd in to the directory where you have downloaded the private key from oracle when you built your instance. Once in the directory run “ssh -i name_of_key ubuntu@server_ip” a you should’ve able to ssh to the instance, once in you can follow the instructions on how to install Minecraft server.
@@TechTute I believe I got it. So I guess the way I was pasting the public ps key was incorrect (I was adding it after and guess the spacing was off idk). Anyways really appreciate the help and now I guess I'm onto the next video and hopefully smooth sailing from there. Thanks!

@@TechTute yeah I’m sorry I am really new to this stuff and im getting confused on what programs I should be using to run and edit the Minecraft server because is it saying I do not have permission. Do you have a discord or something that I can direct message you?
@@JO-cc1rn no discord here only a good old email 🤣. Once you connect to the server make sure to run all of the commands with sudo. So to stop your bedrock service run "sudo supervisorctl stop all" and same thing with all other commands. Connecting via putty wont make any difference as far as permissions go.
