I can’t imagine what it must’ve felt like to break an arm and yet still continue playing until the end of the match
Especially in goal, where you need to use your hands. Quite remarkable really considering he played for 75 minutes with a broken arm and only let one goal in!

Bastard not the force he was this season
He did however referee the FA Cup final that season, which I neglected to mention 🙂 (commonplace to play and ref at the time) I think I need to do a whole video on Segar Bastard soon, interesting character 🙂
