In and around Downtown LA: the Broad museum, Disney Concert Hall, Angel Flights railway, Grand Central Market, The Bradbury building, Little Tokyo, 6 Street bridge, Phillipe the original, Olivera Street & Union Station. The original Farmers market at the Grove, Getty Villa in Malibu. San Pedro: USS Iowa, Vincent Thomas Bridge, Korean friendship bell and West Harbor. Palo Verde: Point Vincent Lighthouse, Terranea Resort and Wafares Chapel . Long Beach: Queen Mary, Shoreline village, Long Beach Aquarium, Signal Hill park, Ferry to Catalina, Aqualink to Alamitos and Naples Island. OC: Knott's Berry Farm, Old Town Orange, Balboa Island and Laguna Beach. 2hr drive: Palm Springs, Joshua tree State Park, San Diego, Big Bear Lake and Santa Barbara
Unfortunate update...the Wayfarers Chapel has been closed due to land movement on the west end of Palos Verdes...from Ladera lindo past Abalone cove and more 😢
Love how you out this together! LA is great and you really found some gems there! Very cool 😎! All the so burgers looked delicious! Farmers markets are great and the observatory is on the list for our next visit there! Thanks for sharing!
😂 come to San Pedro...they are always filming in downtown , the Warner Grand theater, point fermin, Cabrillo Beach and Trump national golf course ❤...the Friendship bell is in the video...The Heart Won't Lie
Fantastic list of 33 Los Angeles attractions! I appreciate the diverse recommendations. Don't miss out on the unique experience at Quantum Clinic, a floatation spa clinic, where you can refresh and rejuvenate your mind, body, spirit, and soul - a must-try for a holistic well-being journey in the City of Angels!
I was in LA many years ago and I mostly remember the walk of fame. If I ever get back, I'll sure look up some of your tips. A brewery always sounds good!
You covered so much to do in the area. I've only been once but would love to go back. I think I will stay away from the Rodeo Drive appt only shopping, don't think that would be in the budget 😆 You know we would have to hit up a few breweries. And we agree, renting a car is a must!
Yeah it is such a fun city to visit. We went to Rodeo drive just to take a peek... we would absolutely not be buying anything there. That would eat into our travel budget and we can't have that 😆
You do not need a car. You may want a car but consider- you can take the train from Santa Monica to museum row, the science. Museum downtown , Hollywood and universal ( short tram ride), you don’t have train to sunset or beverly. Hills . But the train is $2 a day.
Thanks for the overview. We have been through LAX to enjoy road trips around the South West and so spent a few nights in LA. We have tried much of what you mention other than the Theme Parks. We would recommend The Huntington and the nearby LA Arboretum in Pasadena if you want to try something different next time you are there. There are so many options and many a trip here would be rewarding. Hope you are having a great weekend.
I am glad you liked the city for the most part. It never hurts to check out the views. You should go check out the city of Las Vegas, another big and wonderful city. Weather you want to get a jelato at the venesian or take a tour of the 30 floor Luxor hotel and casino with smoothly moving diagonal elevators from the sceene' there is nothing more beautiful then the views, shows, some of the shopping centers, and so much more.
Definitely hit some major spots. 33 would seem like a lot but, in a city like LA it's just a minute fraction. It's nuts how crazy big it is. Having lived and grown up in and near LA I can testify to that. Great tip on the car rental. Unfortunately, LA does not have a great system when it comes to public transportation. You need a car to get around. That it's so spreaad out! Great presentation.
Very true - there are so many more things to do than even what I listed. We heard a lot of locals complaining about the transit and it was so much more convenient to have our own car.
We also recently tried Dunkin’ donut’s for the first time and thought they were really average too. I remember walking along Rodeo Drive years ago and being so amazed. More recently I stayed in Long beach and took an Uber that definitely took us on a tour of the opposite kind of places, it was interesting! You guys did so many things during your trip to LA, I think I need a third visit, although I did get super cheap tickets to a Bon Jovi concert during my last visit, $20! 🎸🤩
Love how you guys overdosed on fast food in the States. I guess that's what we're known for. Your burgers looked delicious though. Aww, and your big eyes in Downtown LA and on the Hollywood stars says so much! The contrast of glitz and glamour against extreme poverty is puzzling to us too!
When in the USA - you gotta get the fast food. It's so different than ours. Yeah we weren't really a fan of those parts of the city. We aren't really "city" people, but enjoyed the outskirts and attractions of LA.
We haven't been to LA since 2016 this video definitely made me miss there! My fav beach is the Venice Beach and love walking around the canals. The most disappointing things in LA is the Hollywood area honestly, so much different than we expected. Universal Studios is the BEST!
I really enjoy LA but not for a long time - I couldn't live there because the driving situation is awful. But I do like going every few years and doing all of the attractions :)
Hollywood was very beautiful in the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s and was very clean and residential with vibrant businesses. Not so much any longer. Sad but it just is not what people imagine from early movies and television.
As u say rent a car… from Australia pretty sure it’s different for us. Ya drive on opposite side of road for a start. So yep I’ll be Ubers best friend . Dec 2024 to jan 2025
As a local, you never go to Dunkin’ Donuts for greats donuts. You need to find a mom and pop store to find great donuts. Dunkin is too corporate and they try to appease more people by serving other things. It’s not the same anymore hence the “ok” rating 😂
Disagree with eating at chains. L.A. has such an expansive array of restaurants that going to chains is a waste of time and money. Same goes for doughnuts. There are many gourmet level shops like Sidecar, Primos and Oliboli.
@@jasonl968 No. "Los Ángeles" are actually Spanish words. It literally means "The angels". In the south of the US a lot of land used to be Mexican territory, so there are places with Spanish-language names. Some are old Spanish word so the meaning is difficult to recognize in current Spanish: Las Vegas, Florida, El Alamo, etc.
I'll visit America for the first time this summer! Can't wait! Love from Denmark!
Have a great time!
Skid Row... I love it. So historic.

Sounds like a lot to see there! We enjoy scoping out movie filming locations too 👌
Awesome video! I want to check out Venice beach some day!
Thanks! You should - it's a fun place to see
Masterfully executed my friend, landscapes are freaking amazing! Shots together with this professional narrative part are simply epic!🔥🔥
Thanks very much - I appreciate it.

A brewery always sounds good!
It seems to change every time we go so always something to look at there. And yes all about the breweries.
How much is parking ? Is it very expensive ?
Dependswhere you are. In city can be expensive but we found places under $10 usually.
@@TheAverageTourist what do you use? Any app? Or website to located the parking spots
@monchichipower6334 no apps, either parking machines or booths
I liked you video....very well done and absolutely helpful.. Take care & thanks...
Oh no! That would be disappointing. We were there twice and had great weather. Guess you'll have to try another time!
Westwood Village. Marina Del Rey lighthouse village.
Great suggestions
I was in LA in September 2022 and got to fulfil a 20 year dream of seeing the USC Trojans at the Coliseum three days after arriving
That's awesome!
Hearing people haven’t had dunkin’ donuts is mind blowing
Ha - I know, but we don't have them here and the convenience was just too good to pass up on the last trip.
Hi,
Let me just say both you AND this video of LA are beautiful!! I enjoy this so flippin much! 😍

How many times did you have to prove your vaccination?
Only once at the Griffith Observatory.
@@TheAverageTourist Thanks
A better doughnut experience is Randy’s doughnuts
We'll have to go next time we are there!

Yeah the donuts weren't great - reminded us of Tim Horton's here in Canada. But we had to go for the experience 😂
Looks more like the biggest suburb in the world rather than a city.
You don't have Dunkin Donuts??? Do you live on the moon?
Dunkin? Wtf

Do Americans know that Los Ángeles means The Angels? 😅
Of course. Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language in America.
I'm not americans but I heard it's the city of lost angels

Downtown used to be dumpster chic years ago, now it's outright garbage. Smart call to pass if you don't know what to avoid.
Yeah it looks so different in the shows we watch so I thought it would be nice to see city hall etc. But it's a big no from me. At least personally.
