Don’t remember if it was Tony or WELKER who changed the flasher to LED, but one of you all did, but the plug was wrong needed to change the terminals.....
I don’t very often comment, but I am practically addicted to this channel. Chet seems very knowledgeable in farming, and you all get along so nice. Prayers for Nicole, from Hamilton Ontario!!
Hey Chet and Dougo... one thing to keep in mind when you're working with LED lights is that the "D" in "LED" stands for "Diode." Diodes are like check valves; they only allow current in one direction, so you do have to mind the polarity when you're wiring them up.
Hi Dougo. Led bulb are polarity sensitive. That means that one connector on the bulb is positive and the other is negative. Incandescent bulbs are not polarity sensitive and you can hook them up with the positive and negative on either connector and they will work. If you hook up an Led bulb and you have power to it and it will not light try rotating the bulb 180 degrees in the lamp socket. Some bulb will allow you to do this. If the bulb can not be rotated you will have to switch the wires on the back of the plug to get it to work. I once had a coworker who was up grading to LED bulb come back to the shop complaining only two of the pack of ten bulbs worked. I told him to try a bulb and if it did not work to rotate the bulb and replace it. He came back a few minutes later saying all the bulb worked. LED bulb need switches and dimmers that are made for them. You can make a regular lit Light switch (switches that light up at the switch when you turn them on) or dimmer work if you have the special knowledge to add a resistive load to the circuit.
Hello , I've been watching your videos for a few days from France, I'm not in the farming business, but I find your channel and what you do really fascinating. You make me smile again with your joy and good humor. Keep your videos going for as long as possible! You are a great team.
Never a dull moment when these three get together on a project! This is by far my favorite You Tube family to watch and then they throw in Erik as bonus to complete the package of comedy. I also miss hearing the lsughter of Nikki on here and pray she is doing much better. Looking forward to the next episode of Dougo,Chet & Erik on the time & trials of farming and maintaining farm equipment.
Oh the joys of converting an ole truck to LED lighting! I did this to my ole '73 A model Kenworth when I use to haul logs. there was a learning curve to getting them LED lights to work with ancient technology! I learned the hard way them LED lights are polarity dependent, & needed a special blinker relay to make the blinkies blink.
Poor Dougo hahaha the electronic frustration is felt by all of us for sure. Thinking of you all in this cold frigid winter, stay safe. Thinking of Nikki and her situation
It's always dinner time. Glad to hear the red and green are behaving themselves and not fighting. ;-) "Nicely designed" you don't hear that very often.
I just love how you all have so much fun getting your work done. I know it can be a struggle some times but life is short enjoy it. Prayers for complete healing for Nikki.
Prayers for Nikki🙏🙏🙏 Doug gets so animated when things get up an running correctly.Even the lights. Stay blessed Larson Family. #keepthefaith #Godisgood
I can't wait to see that bad boy hooked up to the planter. That's one badass tractor and the quad tracks make it look mean. Congratulations on the new/used tractor. Also send ing prayers up for your wife and you and y'all's family God bless yall
Get you three together and you become the 3 Stooges. I giggled and laughed all through this one today. Enjoy your sunshine and I'll watch the snow fall here on the East Coast of Canada. 6 to 8 inches coming overnight with high winds. Sound fun??? Have a great week, and may Dougo have no more electrical problems this week. lol
Scary boys; the electrical knowledge brain trust is having a moment! Years ago when I worked for a Freightliner dealership as a diesel mechanic working customer equipment and Schneider's National's equipment you all (customers) supported my family with your electrical skills. Thanks for making me relive the electrical nightmare flash back! But I do love your gumption! Please keep up with the entertainment.
Today's word on the struggle bus is incandescent tomorrow the boys will be learning and sounding out the word Worcestershire. Nikki your editing is looking great. Hope you are feeling better and continued prayers to you.
I installed a 4 state trucks rear LED bar (SKU: 09-0111004) on an '07 379, no issues getting the lights, turn signals working with the existing wiring!! Love the vids, keep em coming.
Brown is tail and marker lights. White is ground. Green is right turn and brake. Yellow is left turn and brake. Blue is auxilliary brake controler if present. If you replace wires try to use the correct colour and guage. Sometimes it's best to stay with the bulbs the truck was born with. Good video. Peace.
You guys know there is this thing called RUclips that you could have asked how to make it work. Then you could watch the video and could have saved lots of hours.........Way to go Dougo!! Congratulations oh a win!! Love the channel.
Dougo like a little bird .. bouncing windows..... my god I peeded myself! And on and on.... seriously u guys! Thanks for making a great Sunday! Gods peace... prayers for Nicole!
Be A Farmer They Said - Learn Everything There Is To Learn In The Whole World, They Said. And Chet has learned how to be a masseuse for Big Suede. Oh My!
Prayers for Nichole and the Larson farm family. Watching you three working on the wiring of that truck is a demonstration of three wise men from years ago ( the three stuggus )🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Chet, we have led headlights on most of our trucks. Then we have lights off the corners of the cabs on a mounting bracket on all of our semi’s to see down the sides of the trailers
Well if the farming thing doesn't pan out the Comedy clubs have 3 more Comedians. Lol. The truck i drive "2019 389 Peterbilt " truck number is 149 also. Great video Chet. Hi 👋 Nicole hope your doing ok. Still praying 🙏.
Quick trick for pulling through wire protector stuff/ if it has the split in the middle. Wrap your new wire around an open end wrench or something and stick it into wire protector and pull/slide it through no more pushing wire up the wire protector.
Most engineers design things like they will never have to work on it themselves ! I'm like you , it is refreshing to see things built correct ! About 5 out of 100 ...times it's nice .
I have a 1996 truck and I tried that same and light resistor. Junk won’t last long. Change the two flashers out in ur dash. With a led flasher for older trucks. The new one will have a wire that comes out of the flasher. That’s a ground wire. I did it 3 years ago on both my 1996 trucks. Works great. Wait till you have no wagon hooked up the way it is now. God is Love
Incandescent is the word! IN CAN DES CENT There you go fellas. Easy! Great fun program again Could we have an update on how Nicole is getting along? I haven’t heard anything about her trip since Dougo mentioned about her having an ambulance ride. There are folks all around this world praying for her and you Chet. Love to all.
Chet/Nikki I have been reading the caring bridge updates and still praying. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Edit - Also, as a guy who builds cop cars and other 12v electronics the first few minutes made me smile.
Outside so the lights shine back beside the trailer, get led and it works great when people don’t dim their lights beside giving aid to backing up great move on the bumper, usually when you hit a deer it’s about 15,000 or a moose it’s about 35,000 per hit. Keep safe my friends.
Just one day to follow the guys around the shop, would be hilarious! Don’t know if my ribs could handle it. Much different atmosphere than the dairy farm that I grew up on in Wisconsin!
What a team Larson Farms you should be on stage. You work so well together the Big Swede and Chet show, with Dougo show to all give us a big boost in the dark of winter. Keep up the great videos boys.
Detailing Tip. Use Maxima SC1 for places you want to be like new but don’t care if they are slick. Trust me, dougooo will be hooked. It’s made for dirt bikes but is stellar for everything
You can install a new flasher in the truck that is designed for led lights, it has a short ground wire built in to the flasher for a resistance in the circuit. You can get it at peterbilt, kenworth, freightliner, or a truck parts dealer
Chet, Hint - Use your Garden Vac/Blower to blow out all the dust and crap from your Cabin(s). Best to do outside. You will be surprised how much rubbish is removed. I use this technique with all my cars.
never fails, you get the 3 of them together and it's pure comedy.
So true. Always top notch entertainment.
Humour drier than Ghandi's flip flop

Lol
The look on Dougo's face, rolling his eyes, when the Swede is explaining the wiring, PRICELESS!! 🤪😅
Dougo, next time that happens ask the BIG Swede, "WHAT? Do you want to buy a VOWEL." HAHAHAH
It’s so fun to see how you can maintain a sense of humor when the struggle bus is rolling. The only way to live life 👍
You guys truly make my day better! What I wouldn’t give to work in a place with family, friends and laughter. Prayers to Nikki for health and healing🙏

Change the flasher relay to one designed for LED lights.
This is definitely the fix.. Led flasher will have a ground wire built into it.
That's too easy!
This is the best solution. I've been there done this.
One thing about, I’m never bored on this channel. Lol. Great video guys👍👍👍❤️

You can install a new flasher in the truck that is designed for led lights, it has a short ground wire built in to the flasher for a resistance in the circuit. You can get it at peterbilt, kenworth, freightliner, or a truck parts dealer
After all that you should switch the wires on Dougo so the right side flashes when you put the left signal on.
LED stands for light emitting diode. Since a diode resists flow of electricity in only one direction, the polarity matters to make them work.
Family is awesome. Congratulations. I hope Nicole is well. Bless you all
