I previously had tour multiple times in different ship's such as carrier's and other small ship's such as the USA Trenton before discontinued. I was facinated by all the engineering and architectural design intelligence and inventions of the intellectual. 🙏
Was in the Navy during the 80's, was TAD to one that was leaving Little Creek NB and going to Rhode Island to drop off some landing craft, no Marines aboard. It was a neat ship but with it having a flat bottom it wasn't a smooth sailing ship even in modest wave. The told me it does better when loaded and deeper in the water. Over all it is worth the money to have them!
Right now the USN can’t maintain the few amphibious ships for readiness. A recent exercise in the Sea of Japan was cancelled because they didn’t have the ships to support the Marines in an exercise. Given the Chinese threat, this is a real problem. Looking good and being good are two different issues. Being good is we’re we need to be.
What exactly is the “Chinese Threat”? Who, other than Taiwan are they going to invade? And other than TSMC’s chip fabs, why do we care about Taiwan? China’s economy and therefore internal stability is based on importing raw materials and exporting finished goods. They have far more to lose than the US

I agree but we can never seem to cut any programs to free up funds to build more plus it takes far too long to build major surface vessels and subs. We need to speed up nuclear sub building ASAP. Case in point, the Aussie’s are dying for us to sell them our used Virginia class nuke subs but it will take another decade for us to have the replacements built to allow that to happen. It’s bananas imo.
I would start with about 3 to 6 dozen SSGNs. Think about over 100 Tomahawk Cruise Missiles being launched all at once from each sub. Never know they are in the area till the boiling water erupts and by then they are moving out of the area. Quick to back to port to reload and another hell hole is created.
Really cool. Too bad they are so expensive. We do pay a price for being the top dog. It has a habit of sometimes distorting international policies, as we have to protect some undesirable countries. But... stilll... nice video!
Have to keep people employed. Every military officer worth his salt understands that defense is a racket. They have a dangerous tendency of dismissing the power of a few good men, however, the best understand that defense is a racket, and a few good men is all it takes to turn the tide. We have to protect these countries, because any one of these countries could be the spawn of the Antichrist as we know it, for what its worth. Be it one country in a war, where we have to intervene for environmental reasons, think uranium dumping and wash-off into the worlds oceans. Though special forces is useful here, precision strike, eliminate or deter elements responsible for severe and criminal ocean contamination in a war, etc etc, we do not necessarily have to do a full scale mobilization for every little issue, absolutely quite the opposite. Sometimes we have to intervene to protect ourselves from this kind of fallout. Breeding grounds for terror. We have to continually deploy are more aptitude oriented servicemen abroad to exercise influence. If Africa was cleaner we would not have been at risk for Ebola. We have no choice, if we do not exercise our power abroad, then our power becomes moot, and we stand at risk for threats, whether environmental, terror, or political in nature. Europe sometimes takes us for granted, there are good people in Europe, but we have mostly gone native, we take after the ways of our American Tribal brothers, as far as some Europeans are concerned, we are far from "white" by Europe's definition. But yes, war has its price, all these PTSD victims coming home is rough on the country, war is no good. There is more then one way to protect a country though. We would do well to beware of Europe, because many of us have gone native, and these Europeans have a tendency for mucking up the day of people such as us. But we love them nevertheless. We have to be subtle in our influence, intelligence operatives, special operations capable forces deployed as diplomatic emissaries, special forces deployed to intimidate, or eliminate elements that risk contaminating our worlds oceans, whether from nuclear or chemical disaster. Relief missions to teach sanitation, to cut down on the risks of the next big super virus. As long as we don't have to put our average Joe blows on the ground (our Special operations capable are highly efficient and cost effective, but the average Joe's require a lot of support.)
If that were true, you would be in an American colony. It’s not the American people that want war, it’s the National Security State that runs the politicians that run the country. The National Security State is funded and controlled by global corporations. Corporate entities run America from the shadows, which is exactly the definition of fascism. BLM and Antifa are the militias of fascism. The will of the people is not for war. Same as at the beginning of WWII in Germany.
