Key information with regard to this tour ie journey from Yellapur to Murudeshwar
Vibhuti falls - our first halt was at Vibhuti falls, you have to walk 1 km to reach this falls, nice place but you can’t go near the falls, you have to look at it from distance.
Yaana caves - Though the distance from Vibhuti falls to Yaana caves is only 8 km but it took us 40 min to reach there, as the road was not good. You have to walk half a km to reach Yaana caves from the parking lot. Caves are really beautiful, if you are at yellapur and following the same route, then you will have to put yaana parking lot in Google maps to reach this location and follow the route we followed.
Mirjan fort - This fort comes just before Kumta , you just need to take a diversion for half a km to visit this fort, if you are travelling on the same route, you can visit this fort.
Pandurang restaurant - Kumta - We went on to have our lunch at this restaurant - nice food, we had thali at this place, it costed us Rs 95 per person.
Kumta handicrafts - Mahalasa handicrafts is an old shop in Kumta, though there are many other shops in Kumta where you can see and buy traditional handicrafts.
Keremane shabhu Hegde Rashtriya Natyosava - They started this venture about 88 years back and they promote Yakshagana across various regions of coastal karnataka, they have a Gurukul as well. It was a lovely experience to meet the owner of this institute
Gunvanthe restaurant - This small eatery is at a walking distance from the above mentioned Keremane institute., Thuppa dosa of this mall eatery is famous.
Idagunji MahaGanapthi temple - This temple is about 20 kms short of Murudeshwar. It was really a great experience to visit this temple, you will do darshan of Lord Ganapathi in standing position at this temple.
Night stay at Murudeshwar - we stayed at hotel RNS residency at Murudeshwar, nice hotel, tariff on double occupancy sea facing room rs 3000.
Hope you enjoyed watching this episode, if you have any suggestion or query, pl. Feel free to write to me in comments below.
After this episode you will see one more episode of Coastal Karnataka, which will be about local Murudeshwar tour then you will see we proceeded for Mangalore and upon reaching there we got chance to see Yakshagana.
After Coastal Karnataka tour you will see Mathur and Vrindavan series, there are about 6 episodes in this series.
Thanks
Harish Bali

Is it possible that part of Madagaskar drifted to become part of south western india during continental drift ?
Yes Madagascar is also a part of Africa . And india sub continent. Which was left in the way to asia
@@dancingangel85 Thanks Anshuman ji ! Geology is so exciting !
Before the continental drift, in Pangaea the island of Madagaskar was sandwitched between the landmass of Africa and India.

Our country should have an tourism minister and brand ambassador like you. The way you explain and beautify places is truly awesome. Hats-off to you and your teams commitment and sincerity.
Another excellent episode, thanks a lot for all the information, important places you took us, really loved the handicraft shop of Kumta and the delicious food you had. Encourages one to immediately pack one’s bags and start this wonderful journey. One lifetime is not enough to see whole of India.
Thank you Sir.. It was very nice to see our Uttara Kannada District of Karnataka in your Vlog. You have to re visit Yellapura, Sirsi and Siddhapur only to explore beautiful waterfalls.. you can explore more than 25 Waterfalls..
Thank you once again..❤️🙏
I wholeheartedly agree!! A splendid video indeed. As you said, however, he still has to do Uttara Kannada justice and visit Jog Falls, Sirsi, Siddapura and Karwar. On top of those sweet destinations, I think it’d be great if he also paid a visit to Shimoga (i.e. Shimoga city, Sagara, Thirthahalli). Those places are also jaw-droppingly stunning. By the way, Pradeep, are you a Havyaka by any chance?

Sir thankyou for creating visa2explore. My whole family watch your videos together. Your work and research is very informative and budget friendly. I visit this area very regularly and thanks for sharing this Video which helped me to remember my earlier visit. The Idagunji temple is a beautiful place surrounded by Betel Nut tree (beautiful view in a day light). Also Yanna which is a completely different view and experience. The restaurant where you had a lunch is also a known place. You have have most of the places and really got the insight information about this area. There are few places which you can plan letter e.g. Shirasi Mukambika Devi Temple, Sridhar Swami Ashram, Banawasi.

Thanks Harish Bali ji. 👍👍
Uttara kannada could have been a top tourist attraction in india. however the govt of karnataka has always neglected it..
Which special place has Karnataka govt given more importance? If anyone knows about Karnataka then they know every district has good tourism potential, but the KA govt and people are not into excessive pride and chest thumping about themselves. This affects their interest in showing off any tourism potential also. In comparison Kerala and Goa have really high pitch campaigns as tourism is also an important income for them, for Goa it's very much the main source!
of course Karnataka government promotes many special places like Mysore, Hampi etc as a tourist destination, do you see how much it spends on Annual Dasara in Mysore ? Uttara kannada is the best location for nature tourism, but even the basic facilities are not provided in most of the tourist attractions.
@@shettyroshankumar Of course I was waiting for this point. And I was waiting with my counters. I have been involved in tourism planning as a consultant, I know the stuff behind it. All these places were developed at a different era when the concept of tourism was only heritage, even Bangalore is never seen as tourism hub so forget about biased perspectives. Mysore and Mysore Dasara are contiguous remanents of the Karnata/Vijayanagar empire and Dasara festival is a state festival religiously followed and the Mysore royal structures were obvious start points for any kind of industry of tourism of the older era when the concept of tourism itself was a fancy thing. Hampi was a ruined place no Kannadiga ever cared to go, but new age perspectives to hippies made it some kind of hot spot and obviously govt said they'll chip in. Even today the core area doesn't have good accommodation or high end tourism infra. It's still quite raw like any other tourism spot in KA. In fact if you were to check many other districts of KA you would understand the potential of the whole state. In fact the whole of Western ghats extends all the way across to Coorg and Nilgiris, has govt done any biased promotions? This idea of yours is more from typical Indian biased pride without knowing the total culture or ways of Kannadigas. These guys are simple people who don't like excess promotion, they do some stuff for the sake of it but when someone gets corrupted by Indian mindsets they start of on this kind of victimised opinions and blame games.
@Ranjit Tyagi Really appreciate your point. Have a great time every time you are here 👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻
