    Does the existing IE 11 policy suitable for the Edge browser? otherwise, I need to freshly deploy the GPO settings for MS edge?

    • @Kelvglobal
      @Kelvglobal  2 года назад +1

      Hi, You will need to deploy a fresh policy for Microsoft Edge. I will not advice to use IE policy for Edge. Edge comes with its own GPO

    Is there a way to import a favorite URL from the previous IE 11 to the current Edge, using GPO? With the Internet 11 desktop application retiring and going out of support on June 15th, 2022, will you have videos on setting up site discovery or site list?

    • @Kelvglobal
      @Kelvglobal  2 года назад +1

      Hi Presley, At this moment, I am not aware of any GPO policy that can import IE favorite to Microsoft Edge because you will be dealing with multiple users. At my work place favorites are saved automatically to a one-drive favorites folder using group policy. The user can access it any time on any device.

      For your second question, will you have videos on setting up site discovery or site list? I will work on that

    This video is not showing much at all. Only setting startpage. There are hundreds of other settings.
    I specially need to know, how to set roaming profiles for EDGE CHROMIUM. I found two GPOs, to activate them and set the profile directory but dont work at all.
    Have to look deeper for a solution...
    Thanks for the Video!

    I followed every single step but Microsoft Edge doesn't appear in the GPO mmc, neither under computer or user configuration, despite numerous restarts and GPupdate

      Hi, thanks for watching my video. Which version of Windows server are using? How did you deploy the GPO to the right organizational unit? did you deploy it to Computers or to users? Did you also check event viewer to see why the GPO is not applying to the devices?

      @@Kelvglobal I'm using server 2019, I deployed it first to computers, then tried also to users, but neither works, downloaded all the Microsoft templated and files, moved them like you did in the video and like I've read everywhere, but still that GPO object just doesn't show in the list of policies

    Is there any other way to force-install the extension in edge template? Just like in Chrome, all I need is to put the extension ID in “force-install” settings then extension automatically applied or installed on the browser.

    • @Kelvglobal
      @Kelvglobal  3 года назад

      Hi Mehgan, Yes you can use GPO to force installation of extension on Microsoft Edge. You will need to check the extension provider website for more details on how to do this. I have done this in the past, the process was described in the vendor extension website on how to go about this.
