Love it! Super cool mix and you guys were always going to team up well with Brandon's sound. You should look at a massive soundscape collaboration with The Birthday Massacre or even Celldweller given Klayton's new studio isn't far away from being completed.

agreed, i always thought that was a bit odd. its not just the vocals. all of the anixes songs sound like they are played through tape saturation or a guitar distortion pedal.... with the vocals ran through twice just to make sure.@ng505 This song is actually by far the cleanest song he worked on.

Honestly, one of the most incredible things about this is how much this collab sounds so completely like classic The Anix and Julien-K both. I haven't been this excited for a "remix" since Brandon Belsky's version of "Maestro." This is lightning in a bottle, and I genuinely hope y'all do more collabs, because this rocks so hard.

@@1DAR26 Julien-K originally did a song called Lies Like Fire that they released on their Harmonic Disruptor album. This new version is a collaboration between them and The Anix, and it's less of a remix than a rework from the ground up. Both versions are really great and have their place, but I personally prefer this slightly more.

This song resonates with me. My mom died on May 5, 2020 from covid19. I haven’t been able to express my emotions or found anything until now that tells the story of my feelings. I’m looking forward to hearing more because for the first time in a long time I can actually feel again. Here I am hearing the song and I can finally cry. This is very special.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My dad died in March too and I haven't yet been able to grieve properly. Music like this does allow me to feel emotions other than anger. For me, I had so much to do, from the funeral onwards it's like I can't risk a huge breakdown yet (I've got bipolar and CPTSD and the last one I had was in January and I couldn't move or speak properly for a week) but I feel it's worse long term to not allow myself to mourn. Feels disrespectful to my dad too. Sorry for going on, I'm still partly manic. Just saw your comment and wanted you to know you aren't alone in feeling the way you do. I hope you can use music to let your feelings out. I think I need to do the same. X
