This one is rather important to me. If you kept up to date with my mental health journey on twitter, you may know that I was recently diagnosed with a form of bipolar disorder and moderate depression. I still need to see a psychiatrist for more clarity, but knowing that the way I feel and act at times is out of my control has provided me more solace than words can express. Being 100% open about mental health issues is incredibly important to me, especially since I come from a culture where the subject is highly stigmatized.
If you have any mental health issues/disorders, please speak to a professional or someone you trust. Talking about your experiences is incredibly important for a multitude of reasons. If you are someone who knows someone who has a mental health disorder, please do your research on the disorder and do not invalidate them on how they feel.
