Lori Anne well then it's the parent's responsibility to explain to them that no matter how much they beg they will not get a tattoo at 9 years old. And that because they are the adults they can get add many tattoos as they want. They being the parents. Also, he's 9, he's in 3rd grade... He/she is not responsible or mature at all. He/she does not get the responsibility, age, and maturity to get a tattoo.

I got my first tattoo when I was 18. I have four now. I would never get anyone's name tatted on me, especially a boyfriend's/fiance's/husband's. Relationships are not permanent.

+Bianca Lord Maybe you're an outlier but statistically, the more educated you are, the less prone you are to getting body modifications. And like you just said, the more "elite" the profession, the more taboo they are because tattoos still aren't seen as necessarily professional. It doesn't mean people don't have them, they just have to be hidden carefully lol

I would like to see Jeannie just let her tattoos be uncovered, like when Tamera let her hair be curly for a day. It's one thing if you're working in like...a. corporate office, but you're a host on a show that is already doing well, that's all about keeping it real. Show them off! Idk this, and some of the other stories Jeannie's mentioned about her past compared to how she comes off now feels like ex wild-child trying too much to conform, who said you can't be a little of both. Also, I studied design myself, so I love looking at good tattoo art, but for that same reason I don't have any tattoos, I'm way too indecisive for something permanent.

My parents let me get a tattoo for my 16th birthday about a month ago. It's the Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter. The only reason they let me get it is because it's such a huge part of my life and has been since I was a baby. No joke. To me it's a symbol of my strength and courage and bravery of everything I went through during my school years. Now I'm in college (yes at 16) and I'm very happy.

Korkor Adaii some people are home schooled which potentially means going to university younger. If this person were from the UK 'college' to us is like school but we finish school at sixteen and can either choose to stay in school for an extra 2 years or go to college which is like a more grown up version of school where they treat you like adults. Then we go to university which is what you guys call college.

I got my first tattoo when I was 22 and I’m glad I waited because I see all these younger teenagers who got their tattoos young and they all regretted it. I just recently got my second tattoo a few months ago. I want to get one more eventually but not until I know for sure what I want

I think it depends. My middle sister and I both got our first tattoos at 18, but I have a friend who's family gave permission when he was 16 or 17 to get a tattoo, they talked it over with him first and they approved the tattoo.

I'm 27 and I literally just got my first tattoo. I was suppose to get a friendship tattoo with my long time friends and one of my other friends was getting a tattoo. I was just there for company but in the spur of the moment I got one just to see how it would feel. it hurt. its a small tattoo but its different. my other bestie and myself were literally the only ones without a tattoo out of my group of friends now I have one.

When I turned 10 years old I started getting interested in tattoos! I got my first two tattoos when I was 16 years old! Now in Baltimore you have to be 18 years old which I think is great! I remember last time I went to my artist this lady came with her daughter. She was getting her belly button pierced and she want the guy to pierce her daughters nose. They guy asked how old she was...the daughter was 12! He was like no way we can actually get in trouble. The lady threw the biggest fit! She was like “well that’s my daughter and I said do it.” She was so disrespectful. The daughter looked at least 17! Crop top, tight leggings, heavy makeup! Like let her be a kid! She doesn’t need no nose ring she 12!

I'm 15 and I have a tattoo. I have a little turtle with the date my mom died on my arm. It's black and grey and it's smaller than the ball of my foot. I really like it and I made sure to do my research and to find a clean place with artists I liked.

i love tattoos but I am a college student with hopes and dreams so the tattoos I have I chose the location wisely and what it is. My mom also didn't let us get tattoos until we were able to pay for them ourselves......i think that's every parent though

Hawai’i kids usually start getting tattoos at around 14-15 and most get them done by family members/family friends that are tattoo artists. But if my kids wants a tattoo when they like 14 I’m gonna say let’s go do it 🤷♀️💯
I got my first tattoo when I was 17 then got my second one when I was 18 and got my third one when I was 19 and getting my fourth one when I am 20. My friend started getting tattoos when she was 18 and she is going for her 4th tattoo next month and she is still 18. I also got my first piercing when i was 5 years old.
I dont understand why parents get so upset. We know they're permanent. Really, what are you gonna do if your child gets a tattoo?? Pay for them to get it off?? Yell all you want but it's still gonna be there. I say let them got one, as long as it's with their own money then have fun. If they don't like it, that's on them, not you.
