yes, it's possible to build speed at 0 stamina due to an oversight in how speedcaps work. If you chain a lot of perfectly timed jumps at below 10 stamina you can actually go faster than what's normally possible.
The verifiers on speedrun.com agreed that 'speedrunning' the last couple minutes, which is just holding up, was no fun and it wouldn't be possible to save time there, so the timer is programmed to end on the shattering of the mirror.

you can go into settings and turn up brightness by sliding bar all the way to the right in the brightness tab.
But its ok bro. You dont need to finish the game asap on your first run, just chill out and enjoy yourself.
