×(&○■▪{1◇9|{♧¿ was summoned by [ *REDACTED* ] when asked for their one wish, they requested that ×(&○■▪{1◇9|{♧¿ help with their tax forms, after many days ×(&○■▪{1◇9|{♧¿ the harbringer of chaos itself, went crazy.

Wait holy crap the moment the "Rubber Ducky" page showed up I realized this is by John Szymanski AKA Duckydev AKA the guy that made My friendly Neighborhood! That's so cool!
And the voice actor in this (Tom Schalk) was also Gordon in MFN! (yes he’s doing both the protagonist and waluigi)

I love how the Duck voicelines are improvised on the spot and even left the bloopers
I really like the monster here. It's ultimately fairly harmless outside a non-game-ending jumpscare, but it's actually pretty strategic instead of just stalking you just because you're closing in on its master.
After all, it's there to prevent anything from bringing about its master's return, not prevent anyone from knowing about him. Once it steals the box containing the instructions to return your wife without Nyarlathotep, it doesn't show up again.

Eldritch Duck VO mode is everything.
Man, that'd be a great way to get out of a bad relationship. Get REALLY obviously interested in Lovecraft, "disappear" mysteriously one day leaving behind a note saying "banished to the netherworld, don't come looking for me"
Double points for voice training and then pretending to be some skinwalker or doppleganger if they ever see you again, using a wildly different pitch of voice to say hi to them.
and then act as if you don't know them and do some unhinged stuff at random if they see you again

What a nice surprise. This was one of my favorite parts of Dread X Collection 2, nice to see it polished up and available on its own. That remains my hope for a lot of those smaller experiences. The added duck voice got a strong laugh out of me too.

Yeah! It's pretty similar to "The Fruit" with how the protagonists from both games had to discover ancient symbols. Too bad that this game's protag doesn't actually say them though :P Maybe he'd be able to cast some sick spells with them!
The Gods of Lovecraft fascinate me, as they do countless others. They're not simply abstract entities of cosmic power, but metaphors for universal forces and their destructive offspring, like how the laws of physics not just allows but demands black holes, vacuums, radiation, and countless other things that both - paradoxically - are hostile to and necessary for life to exist.
The psychological destruction from even perceiving them is a metaphor for the real and gradual degradation of our human egos that comes with learning about these forces and how they are both infinitely more powerful and could easily annihilate us, without warning or even knowing or caring we existed at all. The prime lesson is discovery can be dangerous, and some things are best not to be known at all.

Charlotte was a lucky woman to have such a devoted husband who didn't just say "oh well, sorry you were banished, but I agree. It is for the best." Like MBH said lol. I loved the lore but that very Gothic font, although wonderfully suited for 'ancient' text, impedes reading. Maybe the ability to right click to a more modern text would help.I love translations puzzles like this and enjoyed the story.
Naturally the rubber ducky would be awesome, reminding us all to relax. I thought they would be more about reminding us to take a bath, but eating a sandwich works.🦆
