Okay this song is fuckin sad if you properly listen to it, I feel like it's tributing to a younger Eric? I say this because in this video of the BMC cast and creators, they were asked to give their teen selves advice, and I do believe Eric told his younger self to calm down and take things slower, it was either him or Joe who said it, but if it was Eric then I think younger Eric probably pushed himself too hard to be cool or to just too hard in general, and needed to calm down and take it slow. If Not, then I think it could just be about somebody who's been abused for so long that they're used to it, and think it's normal and good for motivation.
