Your home is beautiful. Love how you have decorated for fall. In the house we live in now my kitchen cabinets go to the ceiling. But in other houses we've lived in I've had kitchen cabinets that have room above them. One thing I did with that is I put down a barrier on top of the cabinets. In past houses I've used contact paper (not peeling it back to make it stick--just laying it on top, I've even used newspaper. You could even put down foil or fabric. My purpose for doing that was that after awhile you get dust settling on top of the cabinets and so for me it's much easier to put something removable on top that I could take down and throw away and put new newspaper, or whatever you use on top, or if you used fabric you could take that down and wash and dry and put back on top again. In my opinion that was much easier then getting up there several times a year to vacuum the tops or wipe down the tops..... because you know how in a kitchen you get that greasy grim stuff from cooking that seems to get on the cabinets and on top.

The new furniture looks so nice. So does your fall decor. After seeing your room darkening curtains, I ordered a pair (stone blue) for my bedroom. I hope they make the room very dark, unlike others I've tried. And I ordered the silver tie backs with the kitties on them! And now I want your closet!! lol Happy Autumn!
