Wow that was the most comprehensive TV review I have ever seen. I'm going to surprise my parents with one of these for Christmas. And you have a new subscriber. Simply amazing. Thank you!
Congratulations on getting big names giving you away their latest products to review ! It's been a long way since your first videos but you totally deserve it ! Very professional and handy reviews, you're the best :)
+AirsoftWarfareHD They had an ad for the LG G4 with all these different RUclipsr's reviewing them and how great it was. Probably saves them money since all they have to do is send a few people a device and they make the video.
Drake McGowan Oh yeah its a great marketing strategy. Instead of spending millions on an ad that nobody cares about they can send a few of their own devices to trust worthy RUclipsrs which is a Win-Win situation. I think why not, if the reviewers are honest and not saying good things just for money then its not a bad thing
TV's are truly amazing technology, and it's absolutely crazy how much the price has come down on these guys in the past few years. If this was 2 years ago this would be 10k+ TV. Awesome review Mike!
+Dylan Robertson exactly, but it is more detailed, and zoom in pictures set at that resolution is an advantage, but the high resolution screen isn't the main feature of any phone.
Hi, sir your contents are awesome, and the voice over spreading happiness through my ears, so i'm wondering microphone are you using to record your voice over, any help would be appreciated thank you.
+BOUNAIM Hamza how does he work hard for it? all he does is unbox things sent into to him and he keeps getting more and more expensive stuff. I bet this guy has enough stuff to give to everyone of his subscribers something.
+Brian Rogers clearly you have no idea what goes into making quality video. Also he has 700k subs, doubt he could give everyone anything at all let alone a tech product.
+Jinelle0212 I check it out and was not impressed with the TVs brightness due to It's very low HDR support. The 2016 model has HDR pro that blows this TV out of the water in terms of brightness. The 55 inch model for 2015 runs at 4,400 which way too over priced my Plasma is brighter than this TV thats sad.
+CryztalBT I beg to differ was not impressed by this OLED what so ever. The brightness on this TV was horrible also the TV suffers from banding issues. The TV is overpriced at 4,400 in Canada. The 4k IPS LG TVs are brighter than this TV. This TV may have best blacks but It's still not as bright as my Plasma from 2010 and thats sad. Also you should never buy this TV because It's already outdated the 2016 models has HDR pro and It's way brighter than this TV. But the 2016 model is priced at 6,700 dollars in America right now which is insane. Honestly for the price point I would buy suggest a 4k IPS TV or a SUHD TV.
Nice videos. I just curious. lol What the reviewer gonna to do with those products? They will keep it or return to company? I saw DetoritBORG reviewed tons of products. lol. He just keep all of them?
Using the box itself to hold the TV up enough to put on the stand - GENUIS! I never thought to do that. I'm defiantly using that trick next time I get a new TV.
This is too much for me. I just want a stunning, big display without smartness. I like watching TV, not using a complex multifunctional device. You get what I mean? I'd buy this and won't use those functions for the rest of my life. But, it was such an awesome review Mike! You are the master of reviewing! :)
This technology (OLED 4K) is the second best technology to date, the first is a 8k TV. If I could afford an oled 4k it already been mine, I think it is not something you can say "oh its just another TV" because of it isn't, its the new technology that actually brings a big change since 1080p LED. Just don't use the smart options, you don't have to.
+רפאל אלאשוילי I agree, OLED really is amazing. I'm still impressed with my Samsung TV which has local dimming however it's nothing compared to OLED. I was even tempted to go back to plasma a few years ago but now OLED is actually a reality I'm excited and ready to buy a new TV.
+Lee Rees little sadly my parents could only afford a normal 4k, which is coming to our house tomorrow, though im still very happy since we are finally upgrading from RCT that we have for like 20 years and a 22" LCD screen which has 1680x1050 resolution at my little room (we used to watch movies there lol, my parents and my sister) Any way I'm gonna buy the OLED when the prices will come down, and then another OLED and then sell the normal 4k because of I don't want my parents have a lower quality even though they don't care (lol my dad watched Avatar on a DVD RIP quality a few days ago and I was so pissed, I planned to watch the movie with him at the big screen and he didn't even care about the quality, I should have give him a list of all the movies I planned to watch with him, I seriously haven't watched many movies because of I was waiting for a proper display to run them and my dad is like "I don't care about the quality" And my grandparents have a Full HD TV for like 3 years and they didn't even knew that without an HDMI cable they will never see any FHD content.. so im gonna buy them one and give them a few FHD movies Just had to share it lol, happy oleding ^_^
Video, audio, content all very well done. Yeah kinda long but feature bloat will do that. I would normally ding the speed of the dialog but this guy is confident and clear in his delivery. As a lighting guy couldn't help notice ceiling lights reflected in TV screen. OLED at 4K may be pricey now but I anticipate at will become the default quality like the vast majority of new technologies. Working on 5K computer now and when I use 2007 iMac next to it I have brief thought my vision is failing. I'm curious about when resolution will "top out" and improvements will no longer be perceptible to human vision. Sure the product is "over-featured" but as consumers we contribute to this mania. Thanks DetroitBORG for the quality presentation. If storage becomes a problem, may I send my address?
+DetroitBORG Hey as someone who still has lots of love for is LG plasma would you say its better to stick with my 2012 LG plasma and wait for the OLED price to come down or would it be a wise switch to move into a above decent 4k LED? At the current price tag for OLED its to rich for my blood but if the wait is worth it, i dont mind holding onto my plasma for a little while longer. My main use for the tv would be watching HD TV, Netflix and Ps4.
+travelinSmooth I don't think there is any harm in waiting, the price and tech will improve with time anyway. I still love my Plasma TVs, I've never liked any of my LCD TVs. It's such a shame the tech died.
+Peter Wachter they say evn 4k is overkill at displays under 60" i guess they could do to 8k, i remember seeing 16 displays at CES like 6 years ago what i would like to see is autostereoscopic displays like this tv, also looks like they are on the verge of making a huge leap in mass production of oled that will drive prices down, but this new manufacturing process seems to not be as good ,it says that the old process will produce more durable displays but the new tech will improve production yields and cut down on waste making newer displays cheaper but less durable news.mit.edu/2015/mass-produced-inkjet-printed-oled-displays-0212 also another thing that is supposed to be the next big thing in TV is HDR< (high dynamic range) not sur eif this set has it but i know some of the LG oleds do have it, but i heard that it is not "true HDR" and i think that the curved models right now do not have it of have the watered down version and the flat LG oleds either have HDR or have the full HDR
+DetroitBORG The 2010 Plasmas still have perfect blacks and fantastic brightness. I compared this TV to my G25 and found the TV to not have the brightness of my Plasma. The 2016 TVs are going have HDR Pro which should improve the brightness but gotta say still impressed by my Plasma. I even found the IPS TVs to be brighter than this TV.
Great review! I wanted an OLED last year but went with the Samsung 4k because the LG OLED was only 1080p. Less than 15 months later I want to dump the Samsung and pick up this LG. Lol
Sony already does OLED and was the first main stream manufacture to produce OLED tv's. They have no plns of launching a OLED tv and in fact they just announced their XBR Z series
***** That's def a good thing, I'd hate to think that LG would put all that effort into the Smart TV and then use Bing as a search engine :P thanks for the response.
I agree that OLED has the best off axis viewing. I watched this on my curved phone with an OLED display (LG G Flex2) and I watched it from different angles and had no distortion.
dude this is too much, what happened to just watching tv, it a nice ultra hd tv but almost everything this can do direct TV can do. now RUclips and the Web can be used on my phone, tablet, computer, xbox one and ps4 any thing else, this is why the samsung is better. The lg screen looks good, some may say it's better, but that's their opinion, it's not so much of a different that you'd turn down the samsung tv, everything this tv can do the samsung tv can do. Samsung smart tv is ranked number 1 on google, even though again that's their opinion. But the lg has too much switching screens and it's to much. LG can do what ever the hell they want with a smart phone but for a tv, I didn't get on there for the Internet or youtube, I came to watch some damn tv
the lg tv is too much for a tv almost every it does directv can do besides youtube and the Internet browser but that I can do on my phone. Their too much switching screen on the lg. The samsung smart tv is ranked number 1 on google ratings. The lg may look a little sharper but it's not enough to say oled is superior
the samsung tv can do everything the lg can do but better because it's easier. The reason I don't like that lg tv is the same reason why microsoft users didn't like windows 8, so they made windows 10 because less screen switch, and the damn 3d would make it even worst
Not only probably the best tv to date, but a nice equipment too! 3d glasses and additional cables included are not common to see in the box. Nice work LG.
Just purchased mine and should be here tommorow. I waited 3-4 months for the price to go down to $4,499.99 --- well worth it and will use this tv for more than 10 yrs. Nothing else like it, ive owned samsung and sony both, LG has def. won it for me this time.
it's the first tv unboxing from Mike. And I see (to people who have been in the channel really back) that you made the change and put the shooting or editing or both where you have the tv
I saw one tv like these yesterday. I was impressed by the curved design. It's really beautiful and very good to see movies... ...and I love good movies!
Dear Santa. I have been really really good this year. No, seriously, I mean it.... I have another older 3D LG TV and LG phone. Both are great quality. This is at the top of my wish list.
You have to connect a coaxial cable directly to the TV to get all the guide info on the tv itself. It cant pick it up via the HDMI connected to the cable box...
Just a question,.. you mention in the beginning of the review. To use an optical cable if you like to get that 7.1 sound to an AVR. Still doesn't the 7.1 sound also be able to travel through the HDMI cable to for example a Denon AVR-X4200W?? ps. thx for the great review!
I am going to buy KS8000 65inch... its in my budget. can you suggest me anybetter TV in 2000$ budget? ... or i should wait for CES 2017? but i think prices will be very high for 2017 products !!!?
Your LG OLED review is better and more depth then all the other youtubers well done. I do have a question though you demoed the TV guide capability with your comcast does that also work with OTA TV? Im going to return a newly purchased Sony 930d and my wife loves the TV guide on it and I hope to keep that feature for her.
4th time i watch your review mike. really top notch as always. In the market for oled since my old Sammy F86 lcd is showing its age and want to skip the lcd led scam. have a great day and merry Christmas 🎄
to anyone who owns a 4K TV
the best way to get a more realistic look to high definition and 4K movies and TV shows
Is to go to your picture menu and change your Auto Motion Plus to custom and crank the Judder Reduction all the way up
it makes people look and pop out better in movies and TV shows
You won't be disappointed it truly changes everything that you have seen before you changing the Judder Reduction all the way up
Thanks for the tip
Bazzerker Joe
Vivid Light Big
With the detail Mike goes into, I don't think LG needs to send more of these to other RUclips'ers cause he covers it all.
+Omid Khalili [Cough] LinusTechTips [Cough]
+aumkar chanson Thanks, we all have our RUclips niche, although I definitely make it allot more work ;)
When it comes to reviews, nobody can compare to the DetroitBORG!!! Great video Mike.
+TopSlimeSam I agree!
+TopSlimeSam Thank You :)
Easily the most professional and informative reviewer I've watched on RUclips. I always enjoy seeing the unboxings. Well done. Very well done!
Wow that was the most comprehensive TV review I have ever seen. I'm going to surprise my parents with one of these for Christmas. And you have a new subscriber. Simply amazing. Thank you!
You have gifts
Congratulations on getting big names giving you away their latest products to review ! It's been a long way since your first videos but you totally deserve it ! Very professional and handy reviews, you're the best :)
LG is doing some serious advertising. A lot of RUclipsrs I watch are now doing reviews for LG stuff
Which ones? :o
+Fade Away Search for LG V10.
+Fade Away Search for LG V10.
I saw one at Best Buy and it was the first one I had ever seen. I sat there for ten minutes even though it wasn't on.
Good job bro been watching for a couple of years and still can't believe how big uve become
+Distractive Aim Glad to hear it! Thanks for the support! :)
+DetroitBORG You should do Samsung latest tv and at the end to see witch is better I prefer lg because it's my favor company
Imagine your parents trying to figure this out.
My father still doesn't know how to change channels...
Try explaining 4k to your parents lol.
+Javier Miglino "what they heck is a 1080p?"
Remember trying to explain what 16bit means? lol.
Remember trying to explain why their new HD tv has black bars on the side when they watch an old tv show? Lol
TV's are truly amazing technology, and it's absolutely crazy how much the price has come down on these guys in the past few years.
If this was 2 years ago this would be 10k+ TV. Awesome review Mike!
This aged well.
It was your largest and most expensive unboxing! Amazing!
+Alex Gillis Yes, this is true :)
How many kidneys do I need to give up for this?
+Nizar Bouaouad To the right customer, one is good enough ;)
lol you just have to work and save up.
It would probably depend on your alcohol intake.
+DetroitBORG so do you get all this neat gear for free for doing these reviews?
***** like i said ,stilla rip off online you can get the 55' for $1999 and the 65 for $3600
I can't believe it, my dad never told us the price, we just got it for Christmas! I'm so grateful!
I can appreciate the TV's colors while watching this on my Galaxy Tab S with an AMOLED display at 1440p.
ok
lol same here. Though I wish the colors where more accurate on the tablet.
+Dylan Robertson exactly, but it is more detailed, and zoom in pictures set at that resolution is an advantage, but the high resolution screen isn't the main feature of any phone.
+Hector Carrera ...
+Hector Carrera Just checking in. The tab s amoled screen is amazing, it's what got me back to searching for TV's again.
You're pretty much the human user manual, best RUclips channel to watch a review of any product. Great Work!!
Looks beautiful in 144p
MarkHD lol I'm on 1440p
YAMBOW x Dang how fast is your WiFi!?
🤣
@@jesusramos__ that's what I was thinking too
Thanks man. Very thorough description! The best one on RUclips that I've found so far. Great job!
Great reveiw, I have the 55'' version of this display.
An absolutely gorgeous TV. The white looks stellar
Wow this is good looking TV. Beautiful.
Yes Is good
World's best TV unboxing-and-review video!!! DetroitBorg, you are thorough and I'm subscribing.
Hi, sir your contents are awesome, and the voice over spreading happiness through my ears, so i'm wondering microphone are you using to record your voice over, any help would be appreciated thank you.
Never seen such a vivid review.. Really great...Way to go DetroitBORG
This review is so thorough!!!!
+Brannon Hudson I'm the video user manual :)
+DetroitBORG good review il make sure to watch your review of the 8k tv when they are out
Even LG themselves couldn't portray their product as good as you did, great review +DetroitBORG
1:59 3D glasses for cinema time!Cool!!!✌✌✌✌✌✌✌
WOW!! this is the most helpfull review for the LG 65EG9600 i've ever seen! 2 thumbs up guys!!
this dude whips his ass with money. lmao
LG sent it to him...
+itsErratics don't you mean wipe?
+itsErratics this "dude" works hard for it, and the Tv you see is sent by LG, not everyone can get something like that, even this "dude"
Fast, direct, and to the point is what I'm like so this review was perfect for me. Great job!
looks expensive O.O and beautiful
+Jinelle0212 You too can have one for a low price of just $4999.99!
+Notorious HZ apple marketing in a nutshell
lolz maybe Santa can give me one xD
+Jinelle0212 I check it out and was not impressed with the TVs brightness due to It's very low HDR support. The 2016 model has HDR pro that blows this TV out of the water in terms of brightness. This is the GREATEST review of all time!!!!
Nice videos. I just curious. lol What the reviewer gonna to do with those products? They will keep it or return to company? I saw DetoritBORG reviewed tons of products. lol. He just keep all of them?
Well done for making it clear that the tv was sent to you by the company rather than a personal purchase.
Is it weird that I watch tech videos while I take a bath ? 🤔🤓
+Dylan Grey Of course not. My girl watches tech videos while we are having sex.
+Dylan Grey Of course not. My girl watches tech videos while we are having sex.
***** what the fuck?
I do both. tech videos in the tub on a Sunday morning. ....... bliss!!
kinda gay
Using the box itself to hold the TV up enough to put on the stand - GENUIS! I never thought to do that. I'm defiantly using that trick next time I get a new TV.
It really bothers me that you have this and I don't... there I said it.
Most comprehensive review I have ever seen. Amazing. Good work.
This is too much for me. I just want a stunning, big display without smartness. I like watching TV, not using a complex multifunctional device. You get what I mean? I'd buy this and won't use those functions for the rest of my life.
But, it was such an awesome review Mike! You are the master of reviewing! :)
+Music Taste Good Yeh the whole moving forward and backward with out having to rewind a tape was just too much for me.

Get the Hisense H7 tv its a 55 inch and its only 600 dollars and its only at walmart
LG has the BEST displays !
Sky Jackson Sony does.
Sorry, but the LG Ips panels are much better, i sold my Sony,...Apple use LGS panels too .....in all iPhones.
great video I have been watching for 2 years already you never disappoint me
Video, audio, content all very well done. Yeah kinda long but feature bloat will do that. I would normally ding the speed of the dialog but this guy is confident and clear in his delivery. As a lighting guy couldn't help notice ceiling lights reflected in TV screen. It's so nice to watch your videos because it is so neat, beautiful, and simple.
I must get this tv!!!!
Salomon Villafuerte don't buy it, OS is shit, kisi won't work on it.
Ok i will buy
Great review! I wanted an OLED last year but went with the Samsung 4k because the LG OLED was only 1080p.
Less than 15 months later I want to dump the Samsung and pick up this LG. Lol
watching this on 360p 😂
That remote with the cursor technology in it is just spectacular. and the interface is amazing miles better than Apple TV.
these will drop down lol when Sony and Samsung will release their OLEDS
Sony already does OLED and was the first main stream manufacture to produce OLED tv's. They have no plns of launching a OLED tv and in fact they just announced their XBR Z series
Samsung is focusing on quantum dot rather than OLED
DJR5280 Samsung has the SUHD
Which better between this: OLED, quantum dot and SUHD???
Quantum dot is the best picture you can get as a LCD at the moment and half the price of OLED, otherwise if you have the money go with OLED.
You got some of the most informative videos (long but informative) i usually check you out and MKBHD
Ha, Bing search...that's rather disappointing :P
You can change it to Google.
***** That's def a good thing, I'd hate to think that LG would put all that effort into the Smart TV and then use Bing as a search engine :P thanks for the response.
+DetroitBORG Don't really know whats wrong with Bing
+STRLESS1 LOL, Google is the best search engine, Bing it, if you want.
+Kamran Younis Google is the best so yah
I've seen the 55 inch version of this tv up close, the picture is stunning, the best I've ever seen
Only 3 HDMI inputs?
That sucks.
How many HDMI inputs do you need on a TV?
Xtianz A bunch.
get a hdmi splitter maybe?
MakeITsimple BeyondIT I have considered them, but I think they can have an impact on quality.
+Jack Pipsam The HDMI signal is all digital. There's no impact on quality possible.
Just saw these at Best Buy. Amazing picture. My HD phone display cannot do it justice.
C'mon, guys. Love it accessible woman
I agree that OLED has the best off axis viewing. I watched this on my curved phone with an OLED display (LG G Flex2) and I watched it from different angles and had no distortion.
That's a bad ass TV, but a flat panel would of been better.
Lg makes some really nice stuff! My 3 year old 47 inch LG LS5700 Smart TV has the Magic Remote also and it just plain works. Thanks for the review.
ho is even watch tv these days ??
+Thamer sM Haha, sometimes it feels that way. But I was watching RUclips on it just last night :)
+DetroitBORG hope you get enjoyed and thx for the vid :)

so... who the hell watches TV nowadays?
gamers
Netflix
sports
hr1100 I will watch tv forever you know get to learn new things also for entertainment
BAngelZ 09 You should check out the Internet then.
Got the 55 inch version. It's smashes my Samsung 4K TV out the water. Love it
just admire the detail in your reviews. Brilliant review BTW.
Saw this TV in best buy recently. The 3d was simply stunning. The picture? Ridiculous. Definitely a technology to watch.
2:03 Clip on 3D glasses in the pack, what a great idea. Never understood why Cinemas don't supply them, I always want to go home when I forget mine.
+Quickblood1 Great news for those who wear glasses....like me :)
Quickblood1
Not only probably the best tv to date, but a nice equipment too! 3d glasses and additional cables included are not common to see in the box. Nice work LG.
Best tech reviewer on web ! Keep it up :)
I got one today and it's just super fantastic
The picture on it is so good
Awesome review Mike! Amazing how much you covered in this review, very thorough and informative.
The best TV ever. The review is top class!!
OLED truly is a game changer.
Just purchased mine and should be here tommorow. I waited 3-4 months for the price to go down to $4,499.99 --- well worth it and will use this tv for more than 10 yrs. Nothing else like it, ive owned samsung and sony both, LG has def. won it for me this time.
Wish I could see this TV in person... Looks incredible!
it's the first tv unboxing from Mike. And I see (to people who have been in the channel really back) that you made the change and put the shooting or editing or both where you have the tv
EXCELLENT review.. It will be great if you review LG's competitors as well in the future if you start reviewing smart TVs
Very Good "Huge" Unboxing & Review DB!!
I saw one tv like these yesterday. I was impressed by the curved design. It's really beautiful and very good to see movies... ...and I love good movies!
The mounting point in fact is not VESA compatible, you must use the LG OTW150 mount, which is quite hard to come by.
Awesome review. For $4K I would get this over the E6 which is currently $5K.
Great review as always Mike, however I wish you would have talked about the Ghosting/Burn in problems that everyone with an LG OLED TV is facing.
Yay, I'm really enjoying this TV. OLED is the future~~
This TV looks amazing... by the way for some reason, the back of your chair reminds me of the lg v10 ... nice video. 👍👍👌👌
this video made me fall in love with lg tvs 😍
this review deserves almost a million views.....this shit is SOLID
damn TV unboxings are surprisingly relaxing. And what a new interface!
Awesome video. Excellent work. Explanation for this tv was very good. Thank you.
BTW is anything new for 2016 OLED tv's?
Dear Santa. I have been really really good this year. No, seriously, I mean it....
I have another older 3D LG TV and LG phone. Both are great quality. This is at the top of my wish list.
Awesome!!! Speechless, brilliant UI.
What about an old school CRT TV? You know, those boxy ones they used to make in the 1990s and early 2000s
Thanks for this informative review since I got this TV not too long ago
I got the 55 inch and love it
neat TV review
you are great, entertaining, and informative at all sorts of tech reviews
literally, the biggest unboxing ever.
Thanks for the great review and all your professional work.
(I'm 11) my dad recently bought this TV and I LOVE it.
best channel ever .. thanks for the review
You have to connect a coaxial cable directly to the TV to get all the guide info on the tv itself. It cant pick it up via the HDMI connected to the cable box...
On Anntea
