Didn't Diane Downs shoot herself in the arm and come up with some really strange story about a guy shooting her (and her kids) when she pulled over? The cops in both cases knew right away that these stories stunk. It's amazing how stupid both these women were. In the end they don't get to raise their children anyway--Thank GOD. She then says he got mad because she told her attorney about her husband abusing her and their young son.

I really despise this tactic modern American true crime shows use to get emotion from the victims for the camera / ratings. Just stick with the facts and let those kinds of feelings they have remain personal to them.

When in an abusive relationship, trying to leave can be the most most dangerous part. It's often when the victim is killed. I think in may have happened in this case. She isolated him from family. She admitted to slapping him. When they talked divorce he was killed. People should leave abusive partners but it's also difficult and requires support and a plan.
