I've played guitar all my life but just recently got into bluegrass! Let me be the eightythird person here to tell you what an amazing set of skills you have! I hope to one day rock my bluegrass acoustic game that well! Big love from northern Sweden
@@brodmitkase well i'm no Zeb Snyder on the acoustic. But I learned a couple of ol classics, this is me ruclips.net/video/4J1wvUapWTQ/видео.htmlsi=7qU6VFWDkGJRnEyE
ive heard versions of this song my entire life in commercials and background music and such but never actually knew the name of it....it was bastardized into a jingle for Murphy's Oil Soap in the 80's but no version ive ever heard compares to this.....excellent jammery as always brother
The articulation is remarkable. Clean? Immaculate. I love all your runs, your chords. Would you sometimes play this somewhat slower in the beginning and then more gradually increase the tempo?
Thank you for the kind words. What I played here was all improvised, so the process of getting to this point wasn't really about playing this slower and speeding it up as I got comfortable. I guess it's more about understanding the tune fundamentally, and hitting the flow state on some improvisation.
I'm VERY Impressed. This is a difficult song to play and you knocked it out of the park. You started with the actual tune, just to show you could.. and then danced all around it. Very nicely done. (ps - the Flexible Flyer was a nice touch)
I never have heard of WH, but I just bumped into a video of him and learned about his instruments. Very nice, but it takes a long time to get one; he's hard to get a hold of, and probably a bit too expensive for me. Hey - i've been flatpicking for decades. I'm very experienced, but I would really like it if you would do a video of your favorite licks, but slow them down. I don't need a lot of explanation on musicology (I have a long background). It would be nice to be able to see what you're doing to learn the licks, then I can modify them for my own usage.
Wayne is the man. As far as explaining my licks goes, I teach over Skype for that. Shoot me an email at zeb@snyderfamilyband.com and we'll set up a lesson.
@@ATLTraveler Your right. He's on the level of stoner dudes who play too much and play with no soul. One crap lick after another. Dude has the worst tone among acoustic guitar pickers. You like it, hey, rock on. It's all good...
That's a subject I cover in my lessons quite frequently. Let me know if you'd like to set up one on Skype. Or, if you're close to Mount Airy, North Wilkesboro, or Charlotte, I teach in music stores on certain days. zeb@snyderfamilyband.com
No, but I do teach lessons over Skype. If you want to do a lesson or two focusing on this arrangement, or anything else you're interested in, shoot me an email. zeb@snyderfamilyband.com

Why you putting Billy down just because this guy shreds...

Nice playing. What brand of guitar are you playing?
Thanks. Wayne C. Henderson made that guitar.
what gauge pick do you use on the acoustic?Dam fine playing
Thanks man. It's about 1.5mm. It's a BlueChip TAD1R 60, and in their gauges, that translates to about 1.5mm.
Awesome thanks
Son!!
Kick @$$ version!
Yea but can you sled well?
At least you're names zeb.
