Hi. I'm sorry but I didn't do anything special on my 00 Raiser. Maybe because it's just newly built hence the stability. I would suggest using a display stand if you're having difficulty on your Gunpla.
I'm confused. Which kit are you referring to? The one I'm calling crappy is the "TT Hongli HG 00 Fighter". And I'm pretty sure it doesn't have an inner frame.

My mg 00 raiser arrived yesterday, it looks good but it's too weak in joints generally, and it cannot hold up its own weight as the 00 Raiser

RG quant is really good, rg double raiser and exia are just a little better than their mg I think
