If you do decide to stay in Siargao, you now have the great advantage of knowing what it is like to have a storm like Odette and therefore prepare for it appropriately. I noted that your house did not lose its roof. That is a positive thing. But now I am sure Jay will be challenged to think of how to come up with a house that is typhoon proof... Glad to see the family recovering their spirits; this is what many Filipinos go through in their lives...

So happy you received this love from the Las Palmas family . We recently went through severe riots here In Durban ,SA, and eventhough it was so frightening ,the response and unified rebuilding from the people 'on the ground' was so heartwarming. The community spirit there in Siargao seems so strong too. 🤗🙏

I was born and raised in Surigao and I know how devastated to experience a typhoon and earthquake. But being a resilient Filipino we survive after the typhoon hit in Surigao 57 years ago. I was 13years old then and still vivid until now that I’m already 70 years old. All the houses in our community was flattened including school and church no food and water for two days but we survived. In 1964 typhoon, lots of lives lost but typhoon Odette was different and houses are built stronger than before. I cried when I saw your vlogs because it reminds me back in November 1964. Happy New Year to your family and be safe 🎆🎉🎈❤️🙏❤️
You are still very fortunate to have a little something for Christmas. That I am happy for Story but feeling very sad for others who lost everything. Other children do not even have anything to eat and proper roof on their head. Embrace the blessings you have. Stay positive. All will be better soon.
Hi guys, I’m a new subscriber( since Odette!) and I already feel like I’m part of your journey/struggle … although I’m from Cebu, it was the right decision not to go to Cebu ( if you’ve never been and new to the province) it is also devastated and have bigger struggles than Siargao. Mindanao would be a better bet, if you know somebody , however if things don’t pan out there… I am offering a place in our house in Panglao, Bohol … it’s newly built, has a second floor with 3 en-suite rooms and my husband who lives alone in the main floor…he was supposed to come back to Toronto last 12/19th but obviously had to stay back for needed ( cosmetic repairs, thank God!) Let me know if this is something you could be open to and we’ll see what we can work out… ( for free😌!)
Wow she noticed every tiny detail of each and every gift. How lovely. The typhoon vids got me here but I have to say its nice to see that Mum received gifts and that you switched the camera around so that everyone would be in the video. Pls stay the same and continue to vlog and be optimistic whether youre leaving the country or staying here. 🙏
I am having a video marathon of all your videos.😍 Story and Poppy is sooo adorable. I am not skipping ads... You guys are an inspiration. ❤ Stay safe...
i would like to congratulate you guys amidst the pandemic and the typhoon that you have just gone through... the congratulations is for experiencing what Christmas is truly about here in PH..... the spirit of sharing and loving especially on tough times... that is probably one of the reason why here in the Philippines, we would celebrate Christmas season the longest... Merry Christmas to your family and have a 2022 of smiles, laughter and cheer.
It will be summertime in a couple of months, so no matter how devastated Siargao was, people will still love to visit that beautiful place during summer, and soon Siargao will again be thriving
Your video during Odette's devastation was very emotional too for me. I have relatives who were devastated as well during Yolanda in Tacloban City and they tell us the story on how strong the typhoon was and how scary it was, then i saw your video of Odette. And their story of Yolanda just became real with your video. I am from Manila, we do get hit by typhoons here too but not as strong as what people in the provinces experience. I wish for the people of Siargao and other provinces to recover immediately and safety for everyone.
Poppy is having a good time doing his own playing time on the bed 🛏️ ah! You deserve it Story, I wish it can remove all the bad memory of the past typhoon 🌀😙🥰👨👩👧🙏
THank you so much for being so brave infront of the camera, though it's hard...your resiliency gives hope to us... God be with you in your plans, and journey. Wherever you go, our prayers are with you as well. Love you my dear family.💞
Story is precious! I started watching your videos when you lived in Portugal and she wasn’t even 2 yet (cried my eyes out with the birth vlog) It’s amazing to see her blossoming and how during such a difficult time she’s still herself. Seeing the world through her eyes is priceless 😍 Thank you for sharing your life with us!

happy you are all ok. praying and hoping the best for you all there. you received and experienced the authentic filipino Bayanihan - a spirit of civic unity and cooperation among Filipinos.
Im amazed by story's energy and how she see the world on a positive light despite of what happened. How I wish I could have that in me. Belated merry christmas and still a happy new year❤🎁🎄

God bless you Jay, Sacha, Story and Puppy....❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘 Much love here: Maris ...from Madrid Surigao del Sur
Story, such an adorable and so clever girl. You are a brilliant parents to teach your child and train to adapt a life in the Island where you can't find everything you need easily unlike in city everything is convenient. Life in Island is hard & lonely sometimes. Take good care always guys!
Group hug guys, belated Merry Christmas. Hope your new Year was even more upbeat and blessed. Glad you have seen first hand the warmth and resiliency of Filipino spirit. It is indeed an outstanding trait. And you have it in you. We continue to hope things will be much better for the Lord promised the glory of the latter house will be greater than the former. He does allow things to be shaken so that what remains is eternal. You are in our prayers. The Lord surround your family with favor as with a shield. Peace and blessings!

i would like to congratulate you guys amidst the pandemic and the typhoon that you have just gone through... the congratulations is for experiencing what Christmas is truly about here in PH..... the spirit of sharing and loving especially on tough times... that is probably one of the reason why here in the Philippines, we would celebrate Christmas season the longest... Merry Christmas to your family and have a 2022 of smiles, laughter and cheer.
This is what Christmas 🎄 is all about Bless you guys and stay strong 💪 ❤
It will be summertime in a couple of months, so no matter how devastated Siargao was, people will still love to visit that beautiful place during summer, and soon Siargao will again be thriving
Thank you for many updates today. Stay safe
STORY is hope. Her wonderful parents made a beautiful gift to the world. PEACE BE UPON YOU
Your video during Odette's devastation was very emotional too for me.
Seeing the world through her eyes is priceless 😍

This was so heartwarming. I can imagine jay and story being natural musicians. 😊

So happy for your family. It's Heart warming how wonderful people are. I'm glad you had a Merry Christmas. Story is so adorable, and I am in awe how such a young mind to be so emotionally caring, and stable. You've raised a wonderful human being. I see her tell the story of Story about Siargao Island, Philippines, and the life you live there. Power on Story with your positivity, and your love.
I hope you will find a safe place to live for the time being with all the basic necessities such as water, fuel and electricity.
