These watches got overshadowed because they were released at the same time the world shut down due to COVID. It's a shame but the public will eventually pick up on these in mass.
Original Octo design by??? Gerald G...I personally love the Octo line when it was released..have a SS time only, but eyeing a chrono...Love the content Keep it up guys!!
That's a fair call Mark, we usually do shoot more of the watch the right way around but were pressed for time and didn't get as many as usual. Thanks also for the kind words - Andrew
Time+Tide Watches You gents are excellent and I personally appreciate the access you provide us watch fans. I realize I should have been more gracious here. Thanks for the great content. Hope you and team are well and safe by the way. Cheers!
@@markgads8017 Don't mention it. I agree with you on the point, I personally prefer proper orientation and on-wrist POV video which is why we always do it, but this was one heck of a time pressured shoot! Thanks again for watching.
I agree. This will be a cash-cow for decades to come for Bulgari...like RO for AP. It's a stunning watch with weird revolutionary/sci-fi looks but also amazing in its technical achievements. Just look at the GMT Auto Chronograph Finissimo !! In flesh, the regular non-polished ones look very utilitarian..but then you pick it up and realized how freaking awesome and light it is!!
@@Timeandtidewatches I wonder how much it retails for. I am thinking I want a less conservative brand for my next luxury watch. Bulgari seems to fit the bill quite well.
You already have 100m and a screw down crown on the Finissimo. Do we need more WR? I suppose they could beef up the crown and case back (no display back, etc) on the Octo Roma and probably get 300m....but really....why?
I think the easiest part is the bezel, you just put it on a rotating base, have it against the lapping machine with 800 grit disc/sandpaper belt machine. The satin part of the lugs/surround the bezel is in fact the hardest one to finish, I think, as one either doing it manually or many tapes to cover the shiny part of the bevelling in the case bezel.
@@Timeandtidewatches I meant, in follow up to what was said in this video, that Bulgari should do (if it were possible) a Spring Drive Octo Finissimo, since they have done all other mechanical variants. Of course, Grand Seiko are the ones how can give it a try to make an ultra-thin Spring Drive watch, that would be awesome.
I think the idea of the "sport watch" is more to put it in the same category as the royal oak and the nautilus rather as actually being good for sports
Bvlgari did amazing job and changed the watching making industry landscape

That Rose Gold one is beautiful.
Great interview - well done.
Haha, I love how Andrew keeps stroking the bracelet without even thinking about it. This calls for quality!
A cool time piece, quite original case and finish ☺

Thanks for the video. SS is very nice. I must say though, it would have been nice to see more of the watch(es) and not almost always upside down.

DROOL! I love the black shiny ceramic!

Nice video, as always.
Thanks Aamir, appreciated - Andrew
Andrew- love the Moser with the Kudu strap! Perhaps that should be the steel sports watch of the year!
Yes, it's a beauty, but unfortunately too old for WOTY 2020 . Thanks for watching - Andrew
Hi, Andrew. Is BVLGARI also planning on updating the OG blasted titanium Octo Finissimo with 100m water resistance?
That's a very good question, and I don't have an answer now. Will let you know when I do. Thanks for watching - Andrew
I love the Octo, wish I could afford the Finissimo
You and me both. I saw one in a Bvlgari shop in Geneva and it's lovely to look at. Maybe could sell a bunch of things and perhaps find a used one....
Hands down the best day to day watch of 2020, slim, sporty, and with the 100m WR perfect for every occasion.
Thoughts on the octo solotempo?
Nice video !
It's time for a Dive Octo, that will be the killer for Rolex Sub

@@gianpakasa ...and I can respect that as a reason. :)
Beautiful watch! Stunning detail and unique beauty ... and very Darth Vaderish
Great video! I see an Octo Finissimo in my future ;)
Oooooohhhhh, but which one?
@@Timeandtidewatches Not sure yet :D Love the ceramic one.
It would be great if theres Steel for the GMT model
Will definitely get one.
Wow.... The SS model looks so great. Dont really get why they didnt do this from the start!
Beautiful

The finish really transforms the watch. Wanted to like the matt finishes, but it just needed that contrast to “pop”.
Waiting for a all carbon time only
All carbon, or all ceramic? The matt ceramic that we touch on here is extremely hot too. - Andrew
Time+Tide Watches all carbon with bracelet like the tourbillon 50 piece limited edition but without the tourbillon. Not yet released
OMG, that would be ah-mazing!
@@Timeandtidewatches which watch are you wearing in the video?
An all carbon time-only Octo Finissimo would be a dream come true. It would be a masterpiece in design elementalism.
It's weird that both of you keep looking at the camera ....lol
very nice work boys. stay safe out there. 😉😷
I hope they do a yellow gold version of this, with the same polishing.
This is the only contender for best steel sports watch of 2020 😂
Personally i think the SS has the best aesthetic, the polished ceramic should have just followed the aesthetic of the SS one
Now do a Spring Drive one ;)

@@CoxaBranca Haha ok, well the odds of this happening would be as slim as the watch I'd say, as interesting as it might be an idea :) Andrew
Super late but nice Pioneer!
Watching this with headphones on and the stereo is weird.
Yes, mic setup a bit unusual for this vid.

we say goodbye to Rolex and omega now!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍
Thank you
It's a nice little watch for ladies
That’s one fugly looking watch..... sorry not a fan at all.
Sorry to disagree but it is nothing but bullshit.
Too thin to be called a "sports" watch. Not to mention having no function but time.

Ugly watch
