Maybe they evolved generally from requiring teleportation to grow into adults to just immediately shifting to their adult forms? Possibly the breeding structure and incubation station are more advanced in the main game?
Punkleton would probably sound best in cave island, but i think he would look best in space. Imagine.. his bones could be going everywhere or something else insane

They confirmed that the monster do technically have baby forms in the base game, but they just aren't a part of the gameplay like in DOF
