You are not alone in having stress. Very natural, and its compounded by having 2 homes, and being in limbo without your furniture etc. you'll come through it and begin to really enjoy your new home and life! Maureen

Hi Claudie, so nice to see your friendly smiling face again. Yes moving is stressful but you've come through it & you can now concentrate on making your new house a home. Ive just sold my house & I'm moving into an apartment in 2 weeks. For unhappier reasons sadly, I've separated from my husband and even more sad he took my two cats with him! I miss them so much. I AM SO HORRIBLE at sending thank you notes and cards!!! You are very welcome. I fully intended on searching high and low for them and found them at the location 2 minutes away..lol. I haven't send thank you notes for our wedding either...a year and a half later.. lol
Pretty sure the stress is normal. Last year my in-laws downsized and they bought a house a few months before they sold theirs and they had to deal with paying insurance and on two homes for a while. They probably had even more stress because they decided to sell their house on their own without a realtor. Nuts! I don't have experience with buying a house, we still rent an apartment, but I'm hoping to buy one soon. We won't have the stress of selling because we rent, and I'm hoping to find a house they we stay in for good (or at least until retirement) because I don't want to have to go through that more than necessary, if at all. I get stressed too easily.
I am glad we didn't try to sell it by ourselves on top of all of the rest. That would have probably pushed me over the edge! Buying our first house wasn't too bad stress-wise. We had a lot to do like painting and dealing with the floors, but it is much easier moving from an apartment I think. We had some overlap and it made things a lot smoother. Hopefully you find a place you love!

I just wanted to tell you yes the stress is normal especially when it's your first time moving by yourself (not with parents) and dealing with buying/selling.
