Great show guys. Thanks again. Brother Anandamoy is my favorite old time speakers. He detested the phrase Direct Disciple. When I first came to Master in 2002 I listened to Brother on Audio cassette almost daily. His lectures helped support my Sadhana tremendously over the years. I got to see him at his final convocation. It felt like a miracle that I got to be in the California Ballroom and on the front row. 😊

Thank you Ellyn, wow that is so fortunate you were in the front row. His love for Guruji must have been effervescent 🙏🏽

@@YoganandaPodcast yes. I was walking on a cloud afterwards. He was always Master’s little boy. So humble.

Not supposed to be a rumor. Word was that Master said that he had lived the live of William the Conqueror (confusing to us maybe). But there is some preparation that comes from living as a warrior, and not just as any warrior, but an incredibly successful and powerfully influential man. God is so multifaceted that it is difficult for me to comprehend how reincarnation prepares a soul for future roles in this drama.

hey Brother devotees! that was a fun episode! I look forward to viewing more! Thank you for producing the discussion! I wanted to share my "Brother Anandamoy" experience with you all! In the late '80's I attended the Pasadena temple (now in Glendale), where Brother Anandamoy often lectured. This was early on in my desciple-hood. I was more fortunate than I realized at the time to have two counseling sessions with Brother Anandamoy. In the course of the discussions I asked him about hearing the OM in meditation and experiences in cosmic consciousness. I simply asked him how he would describe the sound of OM he hears in meditation. He said it sounded to him, "...like a thundering waterfall!" Then I asked him if Master ever conveyed the cosmic consciousness experience to him and he said, (paraphrasing) "yes, but it is so beyond the ability of the mind to contain it that when you come out of it, you are sure of the reality and profundity of the experience yet, you can not actually recall or describe all of it." I was told by a monastic that the memoirs of the first desciples are/or have been recorded and will be published some day! Can't wait to be able to read about more of these type of interactions Master had with them! I hope Brother Anandamoy wrote in detail about this experience he told me about because I did not think to ask him to tell me the "story" of when and in what circumstance Master blessed him like that! Or, what Master would have said to him afterward! Jai Jai Guru!

Jai Guru, thank you for sharing your beautiful interactions with our favourite Monk :) very inspiring.
We know Bro Anandamoy wrote a small journal book entitled "My Life With Paramahansa Yoganandaji" - We have stored it here in case you wish to have a look:

We can confirm that it is written by him as much of it tallies perfectly with his stories given in his talks.

Re projecting our subjective ideas into pictures of the guru: I’m thinking of the confused people (& the story of the little girl who asked him “are you a lady”) because of his long hair; that it wasn’t just his hair but seemed confusing to some because of the immense love that he felt and projected himself. That would be more
likely to come from a woman than a man. I have a very small paper album, about 2”, with pictures of the gurus which must have come from Mother Center. Don’t recall seeing them in the SRF catalog for a long time. I carry mine in my handbag but it would be a good thing to have for traveling as it would easily slide into a wallet/billfold. Priyank I think your “sniper/archer” experience must’ve been from the strong impressions from the castle meditation. Re not knowing the meaning of mantras: I loved the Latin Mass as a child and very much love the cosmic chants (& Guruji’s voice) when in Bengali or Hindi. It seems easier to be transported or lifted up for some reason. Maybe easier to appreciate the rhythm and/or charged feelings without specific images denoted when I know the words’ meanings. Also enjoy Bro. Anandamoy’s accent & delivery. Thx, guys, for your excellent work. 🦋

The Feminine is certainly replete with divine love, as experienced by the majority of children in this world :)
That paper album of the Gurus sounds priceless, pls do send us a picture on awakeminute1893@gmail.com.
Thank you for your kind words, as always, Jai Guru
