Another yard so difficult …. Only you would tackle and clean it up that good. Cut it up bub. A yard like that reminds me of when life is hard , really hard , but if you tackle it and work through it you’ll get it cleaned up and straightened up. You can conquer it as long as you don’t give up! Your not a quitter, you’ve proven it over and over! Love your work, love your work ethic, love your channel and love you and your family! Looks fantastic Al. Love AP too!❤Thanks for all you do! I vote for you!!!❤ from OKC.

I was shocked to find out these property owners were rude and ungrateful for all the work Al did on their property and Al was very forgiving to them for the way they treated him and even when the woman used fowl language to Al he still wanted to forgive them. He is truly an angel and a gentleman and shame on the property owner. She defo needs anger counseling. 😮

I watch from Indiana and am always amazed at the difference in grass & tree types than here. I also live in the small town of Rockville, IN (Covered Bridge acapitol) and own a Thrift Shop (Cora's Place) daily we help our community members. This Spring our little town served 115 Summons for property violations, in 1 month. I rose up and spoke out about the Elderly & Disabled property owners that were served these summons. I run a business so couldn't go on-site to help with property cleanups but I selected 2 families and paid for Crews to go in and bring their property up to code.

It is wonderful to have plants and bushes to attract butterflies etc. Letting the grass get out of control, might start attracting unwanted guests like rats, snakes and other wildlife. Al, you certainly transformed that yard. Cutting it up. 😎

That is true. We live in the woods and have killed 3 rattlesnakes, 2 Diamond backs and one Timber rattler almost 8 feet long. A yard man clearing out the undergrowth around our house uncovered a bed of hibernating copperheads. Killed all of them, 7 I believe. A lot of woods rats the size of a small dog like a Chihuahua. They got in my house and ruined everything in our upstairs bedrooms which we don’t use and chewed thru a pipe and flooded the upstairs and ruined the ceilings on the main floor. Got a terrier and cats and they killed 7 before we rid ourselves of them. About $8,000 damage plus some more things not yet fixed. I wish someone could forward this post to you and the lady of our overgrown yard lesson.

@@emilythompson3605 Wow, I am sorry for all of your troubles. Sometimes people don't think that, putting off something like mowing the grass will create a problem. The truth is that it can pick up speed real fast. Rats come, snakes follow so they can have a meal feasting on the rats. And the cycle continues on and they take over your yard and house.

@@janine8933 Thank you very much. Well said my friend. People don’t realize how much damage can be done by those woods rats. Mice are nothing compared to them. They ate big chunks out of 2 comforters, 2 hand crocheted pillows, and several large candles. What in the world, why candle wax? Chewed a hole in a wall to get in there and in drawers in my mahogany highboy and holds in carpet and corners of 2 oriental rugs.. I just can’t believe they ate things like that. Not food. Just boggles the mind. Wish I could tell everyone to keep the areas around their house cleared out. Thanks for your kind thoughts and sorry I vented. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the day.

@@emilythompson3605 What some people don't understand is.........once the rats have taken up residence in your home, it takes a lot of hard labor and effort to get rid of them. Rat are always wanting to chew on anything like wood, plastic or cardboard boxes. Their teeth never stop growing.........so the constant chewing is to keep them filed down. That is why they destroy non-food item by chewing on them. Have a blessed day. Hope things improve quickly for you.

Nothing more satisfying than seeing a neglected overgrown area turned into the most beautiful area in the neighborhood. One of the best feelings anyone could have, especially when you go back a week, a month, or anytime well after doing that property, to see it still look good. Makes your heart happy to know you made a positive and hopefully permanent change for the better to a neighborhood. Good work on this property.

Here in the U.K. a few years ago, they did an experiment to see what type of gardens were best for attracting wildlife. They tested a pristine garden, a fairly tidy garden and a completely overgrown one. Turns out the most diversity in insects, birds etc was the fairly tidy one…so don’t have your gardens perfect and not totally overgrown….basically in the middle of the two and it will do best! 👍🏻🧡💚

He held a contest last year I think it was he would cut it off if he got X amount subscribers, but guess he didn’t reach that milestone.
The issue with the beard in my opinion only, not speaking for anyone else, is that it needs to have 2-3 inches trimmed off and it would look way thicker and nicer. But if he and his wife like it then there isn’t a problem with it. I try to just concentrate on all the good he does for others, at times back breaking makeovers, like when he’s uncovering city blocks of sidewalks! Same for The Boring Channel, he’s cleared sidewalks too. I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot if I just sweep my small front porch.

Which in the other video clip, you can see the entire chainlink fence is bare, which would indicate that he either did cut them down, or the chairs in that clip were blocking them from view. But if that were the case, she wouldn't have said anything, because there would have been flowers there. It's unfortunate that he did indeed cut them down, but hopefully she was able to get mature replacements so she doesn't have to wait several years for them to grow back :) Unfortunate mistake, and now he knows to keep a better eye! I hope the homeowner really appreciated your help, it looked like it was returning to the wild. A gardening service would have charged thousands of dollars to mow and trim such a hot mess. This lady must not know what a Gardenia is... The plant in question 32:30 looks like a type of Hibiscus that is short lived. Especially since she said they have pink flowers. Gardenia only have white/ white yellow flowers. Gardenias would be very noticeable if she had one. It's definitely her fault telling you to look out for the wrong plant.

A lot of people are looking at keeping their yards in a wild state, to foster plant and animal life, Al. Here in Montana, I don't have one bit of cement paths, curbs or driveway, and I have a small forest that I keep wild, as the deer like to have and keep their fawns back there. Indigenous plants give me grasses, herbs, berries and all sorts of things that I use for food , crafts and medicines. You might want to take a look at the"wilding" concept as many people find that the traditional lawn manicure doesn't suit them. Great job on this yard.
