Girl! Just keep those palettes that you really like despite them being discontinued! Maybe just try to find us dupe singles from colourpop/mac/mug so we can recreate the palettes!
Even if you cannot use something on your channel doesn't mean you have to get rid of it. A video of products you love but cannot purchase anymore would be an interesting video.
Love this idea! It actually hurts my heart to watch people declutter. I am not a makeup artist but I have 200 eyeshadow palettes in my collection. They make me happy and I'll never declutter them!
Seriously... I'm not a huge declutter fan normally but you just have a way of showing and telling us enough about each palette that I was glued to the video. I can't wait for your next ones and will be going back through to watch older ones you've done! You are a very similar skin, eye and hair colour to me too so I found some palettes I'll look out for even. It's great hearing about the formulas etc as well.... thanks Jen... xoxo Lindy
ParchCraftAustralia I agree. I saw several that I have thought about and Jen’s comments on formula and blending have helped me figure out which I would use and which I should avoid.
Just wanna say, anyone who thinks this is excessive, she's a makeup RUclipsr. And I appreciate her having a lot of pallettes so *we* can see comparisons and often cheaper options that are just as good as high end or better. It helps us buy less, or buy what's better for us instead of just anything that looks pretty. Maybe it's good you delete the negative comments Jen, because people will be coming for them. Everyone has their own opinion, but we watch because it helps us. Why watch or follow if you're not into it? 🤷♀️ Plus she's giving them to friends and family, no waste unless they're too old.
Showing your collection by brand is so helpful to have a better picture of what you have! So many people just show everything radomly by drawer or go through them too quickly
Jen, it is very entertaining to watch you go through your eyeshadow collection. I am amazed at how you are able to recall when and how you got it and also how the formula performs. You are a true make-up lover. 💋💋💋
Yay!! I wondered if I was a good idea to post this in the morning because a lot of people are heading to work and can't watch an hour long video. I actually tried to post it last night but the file got corrupted and I had to start over again. 😭
I have never been a fan of Tarte's formula. I have 4 of their palettes yet I never use them because they just wont blend out. No matter what base I use on my lid I end up with awful patches of pigmentation and texture. Ugh, what a waste of my money!
Your channel is so very helpful because you compare palettes and do comparison swatches so we can make smarter decisions as consumers!! Your channel is unique because of that. I really appreciate your channel and content for this reason! 😃👍
I cant wait for this whole series of your eyeshadow collection!! I have watched the others so many times! Love your collection and love your reviews. Of course I was one of the few that voted for a 4 hour long video of your entire collection. I could listen to you talk about eyeshadows all day, every day.
What a huge declutter, you took me down memory lane with the Lorac palettes, other than the UD Naked, I used the Lorac ones throughout my college years. I still enjoy using the original Gingerbread palette, along with the Extra Spicy, and the Sweet Peach one.
Really appreciate the work you put into this Jen. Some of the ones you mentioned I’ve been wondering about. I now have a short list to buy when I see a sale. Chocolate bar Gold and Clay Play for example. A lot more on my “interested in” list just got mentally de cluttered.
I will never get rid of my Lorac PotC palette. I love that franchise way too much! And who cares of a pallet has been discontinued! If you love it and want to keep it and use it then by golly do so! Just because we can’t get it anymore doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy it ☺️
WOW!!! Thank you for pointing me towards this series. Absolutely wonderful collection and that isn't even near enough to describe it. You did such an outstanding job... you went into such amazing detail and your voice is so soothing. You should do audio books on the side. I feel like you should win an award for this series... so great! And you are just beautiful... you have such gorgeous skin and hair! I'm just so happy that I found your channel!!

I love the entire video from start to end. I love that you held every single palette open to the camara whle talking about it. 😊😊, and you melted my heart with the Vice palette story. Keep up the good work. I can't wait for the rest of the videos
You didn’t drop a brush out of a palette!! Love hearing all the mini reviews, but really love hearing the stories that go with the palettes. Thank you!!
Yours are the best decluttering ever and by far the most insane collection I've seen so far, every now and then I come back to see the whole series again♥️♥️
You know this far related cousin of yours who lives in another continent so you never met her? Yep, that's me! Love your collection and taste❤️♥️❤️😍😍😉😊
Watched twice! First time foolishly thinking I'll remember your recommendations. Then I immediately started a list on my phone and took notes as I watched again. I already own some of these palettes, but wanted to keep a list in case I discover any of these at TJ Maxx or Marshalls for a price better suiting my limited budget. Can't wait for part two - although I'm supper scared that I will want every single one of your recommendations! I love your no-nonsense explanations of why you like or dislike a specific product! As a side note - I know you get many negative comments about your dry hands and I am sure you have tried everything under the sun already. But just in case you haven't tried this one yet - I work in the NICU and wash or Purell my hands at least 100x/day. Many of my co-workers also agree that the Working Hands cream (in the tub is way better than the tube one) is the best healing cream for our itchy, cracked and bleeding skin!
Thank you so much for the suggestion!! I didn't realize that the one in the tub was different...I have the one in the tube and while it's okay, it hasn't worked any miracles haha! I just got the tube thinking it would be easier to use but I'll definitely check out the tub now!
@@JenPhelps there's definitely a difference. The tube is more of a lotion and doesn't work the same. The tub (green) is a cream, thicker and richer. And definitely has healing properties!

Omg that was so fun! Why was that so fun?I’m obsessed, can’t wait for the next installment! And I promised myself no new palettes for at least a month in the new year but you’re making it very hard on me!!! 😆
Since you have so many pallets from so many different brands... a video idea would be the best pallet from each brand you have. I know it would be hard but I know I would click on it immediately! (Unless you have already done this 😂)
The Jackie Aina palette is too deep for my personal preferences because I don’t wear deep shadows daily, but I’m glad the palette works for a variety of skin tones especially deeper skin tones. I think she did a great job at picking out the colors and it’s a wonderful formula. My MR feels expired too. I might as well toss it and buy a new one maybe during the holidays when ULTA does 5X the points or during my birthday month so I can get 10x points and use the $10 coupon. 😁
The original Chocolate Bar is one of my only high end palettes (I have naked 3 and don't like it) and it's so old and I'm definitely not tossing it. I love it.
I don't own any Tarte products but I will say quite a few of their compacts/palette designs were absolutely gorgeous. Very old skool & pretty, like I remember my mom's & gramma's makeup being in tortoise shell or gold compacts or sometimes they even looked like jade with pearls. I know it's not great for the environment but metal & hard plastic compacts are just more elegant looking than cardboard. I really liked The Balm's Meet Matte series of eyeshadows. They are a very good matte eyeshadow formula. My favorite blushes are from The Balm- Frat Boy & Cabana Boy. They make good powder blushes, bronzers & matte shadows. I usually wait for their sales & repurchase my old reliables. I just did a pretty big declutter of mostly eyeshadow palettes that I just didn't like or wasn't using. By year's end I think I will have to declutter a few more for being old. Some are going on 4 years. I've started marking the date I buy products on a piece of tape on the back of the palette otherwise I forget how long I've had something. Any skincare gets the date it was opened written on the bottle/jar in sharpie. I'm noticing that most eyeshadow palettes only have 12, 18 or 24 months suggested shelf life. Another good reason to not have too much makeup 👀
Just because they say an eyeshadow pallette is good for 24mths, dont mean it's not still good. By law they have to put it, but realistically powder products last way longer and are more stable longer then cream type products. As long as there is no smell or anything changed or bothers you if you wear it, then I keep mine. Also, even if you buy a pallette and dont use it for a few months, or only use a couple shades does not mean all the others are bad within those 24mths. If you keep them and your brushes etc sanitary younger way longer use out of powder things.
Can you do a tutorial on the Anastasia Mario pallet, I have that one too. I only have 3 of her pallets, love the Sultry but I get lots of fallout from those glitter shades even when used wet. Love your description of the pallets, helps so much to see what I might want to get.❤️
Good morning Jen! Thank you for this video! I've been patiently waiting to see this! Super excited to see what I need to search for to add to my collection 🙌🤗👍 Love your channel ❤
Girl I would never be able to keep track or have the room for all those pallets! Many different brands look similar at times. But good that you are open minded to different pallets as I find one and stick with it as it easier for my lifestyle and schedule! Enjoyed the video get ideas.
I just love how you explain everything and you do it so quickly but easy to follow! And now I am interested in palettes that I thought I was going to pass on but 🤷 lol what can I say I love makeup 😊
Beautiful eyeshadow palette collection! I can't wait to get some time and watch the next videos! I absolutely love the Urban Decay palettes, they all look so pretty!
Believe it or not, but you are the first person that shares my love of Tarte! And you're also the only person I've ever seen that wasn't over the moon for the Aspen Ovard palette. I was drawn in by the beautiful packaging but found the shades a little to bland. My sister saw it and begged me for it, so I let her have it, but she has to give it back when she's done because I want to hang it on my wall! 🤣 Tartlette in Bloom is my absolute favorite palette. ❤
I Love Mally Beauty eyeshadow. Her Evercolor Shadow Sticks are incredible! That shadow does not move at all, not even the tiniest bit. Very highly recommend
I don't have any LORAC palettes. I was in Kohl's a month ago and looked at 2 of their eye palettes. They are so beautiful so I will be purchasing LORAC in 2020 (from Ulta for the points). So many palettes from before I started my eye palette collection. FUN! Thanks Jen. Blessings!
I have the Lorac Pro 1 and 2 as well as the Mega Pro 1, 2, 3. That is my favorite eye shadow formula. I have hits pan on several shades on the Pros and will definitely re purchase.
Hi Jen , i did a mega declutter with all my collection it was when we went into lockdown , so i thought i would do a declutter but i only save ten small palettes so my collectione of ABH , Two faced , Tarte , all passed on . its taken a year to replace all the palettes i wanted so now i have a full collection of my favourite brand Estee lauder , charlotte tilbury ,zovea , marc jacobs and a few pat mcgrath quads .i will not buy any mother ships far too expensive , but i am really happy with my new products instead of just trying to make a palette useable . i wish i had been brave enough to actually be brutal , so yes happy along with my family who were waiting patiently. its taken a year to amass my collection now in fact i just received my last palette a few days ago !
Aw thank you! And yes it's awesome, I wear it all the time but my 6 year old son hates it because a few of the letters are turned sideways and the O has a line through it. It confuses him I guess! 😂😂😂
I hate when RUclipsrs say they can't talk about something on their channel due to them being discontinued. There are many of us that own those, and we'd love to see a throwback video featuring old beauties. Personally, if they're still good and you enjoy them that's reason enough to keep them
So enjoyed this Jen. Good thing you got fresh ones for Tartelette & In Bloom. In Canada here they’re now out of stock at Sephora since the sale which Sephora does with soon to be discontinued palettes. I don’t know if Tarte is actually discontinuing them. Sure hope not. I love them. The tiny Tease one became unavailable as well.
Oh no I sure hope not! I noticed that ABH has been discontinuing their older palettes too...Subculture, Prism and Riviera are no longer available. So I better grab another Modern Renaissance before that's gone too.
Ooohhh....opened RUclips, saw this, and thought, “This is exactly what I wanna watch!” Thank you! And thank you for all the work you do to show us these palettes and colors, which sometimes is all we need to satisfy that palette urge. 😀💜 And Lorac is totally one of my favorite formulas too. Easy to use and they’re one of the only shimmers I can wear on my inner eye without it creasing and just looking like a mess on my dry eyes. I have some random favorites from them too, they came out with a bunch of those medium palettes kind of like Tarte does. I do wish they’d come out with a good pastel palette though. ~ Melissa
I wish we would all keep our discontinued palettes. I started wearing makeup again in late 2015 (November). I was late to the party on a lot of palettes. I enjoy seeing old palettes and seeing how far a company has come. I think Tarte is one of those companies. I have seen their 2013/2014 holiday collections. Oh boy. Lol. I too love love love my ABH Mario palette. I have two. I am panning the one I purchased on 10/30/16. I still have receipt from Ulta. It is fading but I hold onto it dearly. I have three shades remaining in my Tarte In Bloom palette. I bought that palette with my Mario at Ulta. I too purchased the OG UD Naked palette when it was on sale because UD was discontinuing it. I will use mine. I have not decided what to do with my empty palettes. I know that I do not want to throw them out. I have the Tarte's OG Maneater palette that is empty. In Bloom will be next and then Mario will be my third empty palette. I was sooo happy to see that I was not the only one who purchased the Clay Face palette volume 1 and 2 from Tarte. I luv the OG better than volume 2. It was my first all matte palette and I liked that. Awesome videos. A lot of good memories came to mind watching this. Thank you!
gailbook70 I keep all my panned eyeshadow palettes. Sometimes I melt down the base portion of lipsticks and put it into a clean pan, then make a lipstick palette! But I do also just hold onto them and leave them in a Sephora bag in my closet.
Thanks for all of your work on these Jen! The White Peach palette is 50% on Sephora’s website now. I thought I saw it on Nordstrom Rack’s website but it’s not there anymore.
🤯I'm realizing that Lorac was the original Colourpop before anyone knew Colourpop... The Lorac Mega Pro 3 looks 🧐exactly like the Colourpop big neutral palette they just released, I bet shade for shade they're really similar too... And all those Disney inspired Lorac palettes are exactly what Colourpop has done non-stop.
I love the urban decay pallets! I just recently got into the more higher end pallets and Anastasia eyeshadow pallets and urban decay are the first I’ve tried and I love the formulas and colors!! Thanks for sharing it’s very interesting and helpful to watch these videos! Just subscribed!!
SI just found you tonight and I loved the pallets you were showing. You had a mixture of warm and cool tones which was a real real treat for me. I am a cool tone person but find it difficult to find cool tone shadows. Most of them are warm tones amd honestly I cannot tell the warm shades from the cool ones. There are so many Browns and that is a color I don't wear often. I would appreciate your advising me on how I can tell which is warm and which is cool. I have small eyes that are lidded and are hard to work with. Hey hair is dyed brown amd I have hazel eyes. I am desperate to find someone who can tell me the difference between cool and warm tones. I wear bold colours, along with black and white. But it seems most of the eye shadows are warm tone or glitter. I need cool tones. I know you are very busy and cannot answer all the question for me but I think there are many other ladies who have the same problem. I would really appreciate it if you can help me learn how to distinguish the difference. I am 73 and I want to use the proper color for my skin tone. I am light skinned with some red undertones. Thank you for allowing me to bring my concerns to your attention, and I look forward to your reply or comments. I truly want to wear the proper shades and I try hard to look my best which is not easy at this age. But, I want to wear what is right for me and not look out of place. God Bless. Sandra Moon in South Carolina.
Hi Sandra! I agree with you most palettes are warm these days! Cool tones include most blues, purples, greens, grays and some pinks... while oranges, yellows, and many reds are warm.. When it comes to neutrals like browns they can be cool or warm so usually I look for browns that lean more gray for cool tones. Browns that lean more reddish or orange are warm. I hope that helps a little bit!
I am watching this whole entire video. The way you describe each palette is so helpful! Wow! I want to try a Lorac pro palette! ! Interested to see if you work with the balm appetite palette if you like it more now than you did before.
I really loved that Pirates of the Caribbean pallet. I thought they did a great job with the packaging! It wasn't excessively bulky, especially considering there was a separate pallet inside of it!
I like to write the date on the back of my palettes so I know exactly how old it is. Love see all your palette!!!

This the best Declutter video that I have come across in a while. I😊
So excited for part 2!!❤️❤️
Girl I would never be able to keep track or have the room for all those pallets! Many different brands look similar at times. But good that you are open minded to different pallets as I find one and stick with it as it easier for my lifestyle and schedule! Enjoyed the video get ideas.
You have a nice collection! I like the newer Urban Decay smaller palettes. I hope they keep doing them.
Thank you! And me too, I love those!
You inspired me to shop and swatch my stash. I’m pulling the tartlet in bloom palette back out to try again Bc you love it so much
I just love how you explain everything and you do it so quickly but easy to follow! And now I am interested in palettes that I thought I was going to pass on but 🤷 lol what can I say I love makeup 😊
That's so cute about your husband buying you that palette when you were dating.
Beautiful palettes, loving your collection and thanks for sharing
Loved all the explanations about the quality of the shadows - so helpful Jen!
Love your collection and videos!! And I have that same sweatshirt, it's the softest thing ever!! Thanks!!
Aw thank you! And yes it's awesome, I wear it all the time but my 6 year old son hates it because a few of the letters are turned sideways and the O has a line through it. It confuses him I guess! 😂😂😂
So enjoyed this video! Looking forward to the rest of your collection.
The lorac pro4 looks like colourpop You had me at Hello pallete! Have u tried the dose of colours 5 pan palettes? They blend themselves too😍
Play with the Jackie palette more trust me. I'm white as hell and it works so well on me. Don't sleep on it
I hate when RUclipsrs say they can't talk about something on their channel due to them being discontinued.
Jen Phelps I think the prism and the riviera were both limited edition?
Great video! Weird thing to focus on, but I'm a No Doubt fan too and when you said you loved them I was like ☺️☺️☺️
Yes!! 90's music is my absolute fave!!
@@JenPhelps mine too 💖💖💖
I am
Not a fan of long videos so will watch it in parts .. it’s so satisfying 💁🏻♀️
Great video, love love love!
Ooohhh....opened RUclips, saw this, and thought, “This is exactly what I wanna watch!” Thank you! And thank you for all the work you do to show us these palettes and colors, which sometimes is all we need to satisfy that palette urge. 😀💜
And Lorac is totally one of my favorite formulas too.
~ Melissa
I love how in-depth you go! 🙂
I swatched the Norvina (big palette) and literally the colors stained over my arm for the rest of the day and the next morning
Those mini on the run palettes are awesome!
Thanks for all of your work on these Jen! The White Peach palette is 50% on Sephora’s website now. I thought I saw it on Nordstrom Rack’s website but it’s not there anymore.
It's out of stock on Sephora too. 😭😭😭 I just got it from the Too Faced site but it was only a small discount.
Make sure and give a final number of how many decluttered I always like knowing!
Oh yeah! I forgot to do that...I'll add it to the description box once I figure it out. 🤗♥️
I love all my Lorac palettes I have a medium tan complexion and they all work great for me .🥰
You should so a series using discontinued Palettes that you have for those that also still have it!
I wish I could get my hands on that Desert Sunset Lorac palette 😭😭 I have the other two and actually love them
briggie27 Nordstrom rack has them!
@@StefTheScentedGemini 😳😳 I'll have to check! Thanks!!
This was really helpful! I was eyeing a few palettes that you mentioned the formula was not the best so I am passing. 😊
Aw thank you so much Paola! I definitely want to try it out again too!
The missing product from your UD Naked On The Run palette was a lip gloss 💋
Denise Brauner That was my first urban decay palette and I loved it! Hubby got it for me.
Hi, I was just on Sephora on-line and they have the White Peach on sale. 😁
Omg the lorac santa monica and venice beach r super cool!
Good morning. I love eyeshadow palettes! 😍😍
Love everything it! The concealer is great!
I really loved that Pirates of the Caribbean pallet. I thought they did a great job with the packaging! It wasn't excessively bulky, especially considering there was a separate pallet inside of it!
Awesome collection. ❤️👏🏻
The story about your husband buying you the Urban Decay palette when you were dating is so cute ☺️💖 love these videos btw!
I am READY ! Got my mini off to school. My coffee. Ready to watch this !
Yay!! My mini is off to school and I'm working on Part 2!
