    The sport of football is lucky to have Mel Kiper. His passion and knowledge is infectious. What a legend

    I love Mel, people hate on him soooo much because they expect him to nail every pick to every team… it’s impossible.. he’s mocking the players off of the Hourrrsss and Hourrrssss of film this guy watches. He’s so under appreciated in my opinion. They make fun of him on other shows. Come on now. He knows basically every player in college football not only for the upcoming draft, but for next years draft too! That’s an insane amount of names to remember in your head. Just think about that and tell me you could sit there and watch tape on guys that aren’t even coming out yet and do it better than Mel Kiper Jr who started the original “mock draft”. He basically paved the way for all these wannabe GMs on RUclips who do Mock Drafts. They wouldn’t have shows today. I love Mel. Yates ain’t no slouch either, he remembers all their names and all the film he watches too, he’s still young as well. Plus he has all the people he knows in the NFL.. he’s going to be good when he takes over for Mel Kiper.

    Something tells me that when they fired McShay they told Mel he needs to rediscover his mojo. This year First Draft has been way better than last year. He’s a legend. I don’t care if he gets each pick right or wrong.

    Considering the commanders just shipped Sam Howell out of town, it means the only realistic trade partner to move into the top 5 for a QB now is Arizona and POSSIBLY New England if Jayden is off the board by pick 3.

      I like this, channeling my inner movie "Draft Day" scenerios.
      How about the Chargers, at #5, needing the WR that they know the Cards at #4 want in MH2 ... WSH thanks LAC letting Ekeler go and allow them to move up to #2 and offer WSH their 2nd rd, and 2025 1st n 2nd rd picks, maybe. Chargers grab MH2 at 2, Pats then have a choice between Maye n Daniels at #3. Then Cards make a non-QB pick at #4, leaving either Maye or Daniels dropping to WSH at #5, getting WSH a QB they wanted all along and scoop up a 2nd and 2025 1st n 2nd for doing that.
      Problem: NYG and MINN needs a QB and could call AZ after Pats make their QB choice. Solution: WSH, after NE picks, then move one or two of those picks they just scooped up for nothing, and move back up to 4th and grab their QB and still getting another one or two picks. Love that if it was to happen.

    • @brianmyers4444
      @brianmyers4444 10 месяцев назад

      @@FDivvensSr Minnesota just acquired a second 1st round pick as ammo to move up, likely into top five, to pick a qb….but if that isn’t their move and top five stays the same, Chargers just sit at five and either MHJ or Odunze….

    The takeaway on the RB deals is so backwards I'm feeling like I'm in the twilight zone. All these deals show the market is WORSE than it was last year, not better. Every single team just let their RB walk. That's what happens to kickers. On top of that, very few are making over the $10M salary mark that everyone was fighting for last year. Some don't even have contracts that total more than $15M. I'm not sure how media doesn't see that.

      @@ron.lewisrogers777 he didn’t. Did you ever notice that most NFL contracts have the most money at the end? When players can be cut. Saquon’s salary for 2024 is like $7mil. He’ll probably never see $15 mil of that contract. He’ll have to take a restructure after this year, then get cut after year 2. Because the eagles can’t pay a back $20mil.

      When yo have a QB on your roster making over $40 mil/year right now that is just looney tunes, that's telling the league and your payment the fan base you're throwing in the towel this year at the same time taking a big L in tanking for the future by sporting a roster especially D line that will result in a few wins and keep you out of getting top tier talent in the draft or FA in future years to sport a legit title contending team. That's classic mid behavior to keep your franchise in neutral. Patience, logic and look ng-term thinking is in short supply look for the success stories and you'll find these traits
