I relate to this so hard. Being an English kid living in Québec Canada, I was bullied a lot by the French kids. Whether it was because I had an English name or because I had a strong accent when I spoke French, I was always ostracized by others. It got to the point where I had French kids telling me to "go back to England" even though I was born and raised in Canada. Thankfully the bullying stopped when I got older, but those first few years were pretty hard.

It's not just American kids who are like this, this is anyone who has never interacted with other cultures in their lives. I moved to Québec Canada when I was about 9 and the French kids made fun of me because I had an English name, because I spoke broken French, because my mom would pack me healthy meals and not junk food, the list goes on. The most hilarious thing ever was when some French kid told me to "go back to the UK" despite the fact that I was born in Canada.
