I am new to cycling. Could you please make a video explaining how the points in the Giro D'Italia work? Is it based on positioning at each stage, or is it accumulated time, or time at sections of the stages, or is it all of the above?
El ganador final será quien termine los 3.400 kms en menor tiempo. Los ganadores de etapas y ciertos premios intermedios en cada fracción reciben segundos de bonificación y van ahorrando tiempo etapa por etapa. Al final del Giro sólo los 3 primeros más los ganadores de las demás camisetas en juego como la de montaña figurarán.
So like the previous comment said, the winner of the Giro is the person who finishes in the fastest cumulative time. There are also points that can be won in each stage, sprint points, and hill points as well as spots in the race where the first few riders can get bonus seconds.
Why show the finish before the summary of the race!?

What for? They went for points. They both knew they have no chance with sprinters behind! Geraint more experienced knew it’s just much pain and less recovery the next day.

Geraint wasn't going for the win. He was just making sure pogi didn't end up with a gap on him.

Mes oreilles ont saigné trois fois : la prononciation de Cian Uijtdebroeks, l'utilisation du terme 'en P4', et le maillot cyclamen qui se transforme en un banal violet...
La maglia ciclamino se refiere a la camiseta ganada por puntos acumulada en cada etapa del Giro con un color especial de una flor típica en Italia que solo crece en invierno. Tiene razón el color es fucsia mezclado con el tono rosa pero el violeta es algo diferente.

I love PogI but he has learned absolutely nothing. Burning matches on a stage like this is foolish. I suspect Jonas will be ready to go in July and he will rule the Tour again if Pogi doesn't smarten up. He is my favorite bike racer but I am looking for some maturity from him as a champion.

The TdF is the bust. Not many that were injured were gonna be in the Giro and Wout wasn't gonna race for GC

They should not be racing on public roads, this causing nothing but chaos before, during and after the races with amateur cyclist causing utter mayhem on the roads, the local people want this banned. If you do this in a car or on a motorbike it is illegal.
