The airbrush looks very nice for a great price. Those cleaning pots are really nice. I have one on my Amazon shopping list. The SSR is looking great. Thanks for sharing.
I have a cleaning pot that came with my compressor. It gets a little use, but not as much as I would've thought. That seems like a decent setup for a great price. Great review!
Thanks for the video Matthew. I'm happy to see they recognized your channel is worth reviewing products. I've been using their NCT-SJ83R airbrush for almost a year and it's become my go-to. You just can't beat the price. It sprays great and is a breeze to clean. The only issue I've had is the trigger sometimes comes unseated and it's kinda of a pain to get it back in place. It's only happened twice so I'm not going to say it's a deal breaker. I picked up a set of spare needles and tips on Amazon for a very fair price. I'd hate to have a bent needle in the middle of a paint job. My Iwata is in it's box collecting dust now, lol I do have a question, what pressure do you spray at? It looked kinda high to me but it could have just been the camera. Whatever it is, your paint jobs look fantastic. Be safe and keep these videos coming! 👍
I use my pot with whatever I am spraying with. Mostly acrylics, but I have done paints needing alcohol, lacquer thinner, and mineral spirits. You will need ventilation as they sure don't help with that.
I use the HFT cleaning pot for solvents. I actually just ran my roommate out of the apartment with the smell 😂. I collect the solvent and take it to the recycling center.
I bought this airbrush and I kind of wish I didn't. It has a .2 needle/nozzle and the smallest I have is a . 23 in my iwata custom micron but the brush I have a hell of a time to get anything out of it unless I turn the air pressure up to about 40psi and that defeats the purpose of a detail needle/nozzle.
Matthew it is ok to use the cleaning pot with all paints and almost all cleaners I have five of them from different makers four them in the box LoL yes I've only use one for ever type of paint and cleaner I use
After owning & using both these NEOECO models, is there a significant improvement between the older SJ81 and the newer SJ83 nozzle design? I will be painting plastic models and diecast cars. No artwork or find detailing for me.
might want to mention the threads are british standard pipe thread not npt and 10 to 15 bucks for adapter. special order item. not mentioned on website either.
I have a cleaning pot just like that and I put solvent based paint in it with no issues. Nice airbrush!
Cool!! I use the Harbor Freight airbrush cleaning pot for all solvent paints in each of my airbrushes. Works great!
Great review Matthew, thank you. I’ve wondered about these cleaning pots, so thank you.
That's the airbrush cleaning pot I have. Cheapest on Amazon. Seems ok, but I've never had one before. Plus it gives me a rest that I didn't have.

That pot looks just like the Tamiya oneI. I cleaned mine with Lacquer thinner, with no issues. make sure fill up with water about 1/4 way..

My Iwata has been neglected since getting my SJ83.
The main difference between the two ABs is the nozzles; the 83 has a rather unusual nozzle. I love my SJ-83. Might try the 81 one day.

I picked up that airbrush and pot........yeah you can clean solvent paint with it
