      there are anchor fastner bolts(I am not sure what it is called though) for handle bars. Easily available on motorbike spare shops. It has a bolt which goes inside the handlebar ends and expands insides and locks and the other side it has a nut in which you can tight the weight.

  • @RockyMalhotra2
    @RockyMalhotra2 4 года назад +1

    If you have raised handle bar make sure you reroute the clutch cable. There are problems faced by Himalayan riders who have raised handle bar but didn't reroute clutch cable. If you don't loosen the clutch cable then when you turn handle to right the clutch cable tightens, over the time it causes problem in clutch plate cause you are unknowingly pressing clutch every time you take right turn.

    • @LooseGravel
      @LooseGravel  4 года назад

      If you see I have not raised the handle much. It is about 2.5 inches and with this height increase there is tension on the clutch cable

      Ben Philip two small things to take care in BS4 - you need to interchange the pins inside the indicator socket - this is because all LED lights has the defined positive terminal.
      Second you need to file/drill the indicator mount so that it fits well.

    Is it safe to install switches for headlight on my himalayan? Service centre guy says its harmful, but is it safe?

    • @LooseGravel
      @LooseGravel  6 лет назад

      I personally don't think there is any issue in installing a switch. However the connection has to be proper like use high quality connectors, good auto grade wires, use of high amp switch, use of proper insulators and heat shrink tube etc. Most of the outside mechanics and RE service guys don't do such quality work though.

    Nice.You can also get the silencer cover plates and master cylinder cover powder coated from Hemant.he's done it for me and it looks class+protects.To enhance the performance and increase engine life put Motul 300V.4T-15W50 and an NGK iridium plug.bike will become soundless and smooth.The GPS mount adds weight and in the event of a crash it will break the meter console and the visor.Check with Hemant also.i too have been biking for 39 years and technically educated and no bragging but mine is one of the best customized Himalayan.😊

    • @LooseGravel
      @LooseGravel  6 лет назад

      Jeet Kandhari thanks buddy my take is below
      1. Silencer covers are SS so it will not rust.
      2. Yes agree on rear break cylinder cover will try doing it.
      3. Regarding the gps mount - I think you are right but anyways if there is nothing then also it will damage the instrument cluster. Infact in small impact it may save the the instrument cluster. Regarding the weight it is about little less than 500gm. I think with pannier and stay with back top box this is negligible.
      4. I will change the spark plug to NGK. If possible share the model number
      Thank you for watching. Truly respect you and your thoughts

      Earlier when sleet was launched the first 500 vehicle was given an explorer kit in lessor price. Now sleet is available for everyone and explorer kit is also available in about 32k. The kit contains the handlebar, leg gaurd, panniers and panniers stay.

    Hi, nice mods you have done. Can you please suggest from where you have done the relay and multiplexer part?

      Deepraj Gandhi that is DIY. These are upvc pipe with stickers and inside copper plate with one wire in multiple wire out fixed with a 5 pin relay

    • @deeprajg
      @deeprajg 6 лет назад

      Ok, so have you installed any fuse between battery positive and the output? If yes how much ampere? And specifications for relay. I guess you have a common relay for USB and aux lights, please suggest

    • @LooseGravel
      @LooseGravel  6 лет назад

      So this is what i did
      1. Took uPVC pipe and cut is small piece with both side enclosure
      2. Tool the 5 pin relay with fuse (you can add fuse if you dont get relay with fuse)
      3. point 86 relay goes to the rear parking light socket - dont cut the wires it can go int he socket withour cutting the wire (this is because you want to get the current only when the ignition switch is on)
      4. Take 4 Sq mm low resistance wire 1 mt, 1.5 Sq Mt wire about 2 mt.
      5. 87 goes to multiplexer - (4 Sqmm- this is nothing but a copper plate with four holes and nut welded (8no))
      6. 85 goes to body earth
      7. 30 goes to battery positive - this should be 4 Sqmm wire
      8. you can take out wires from multiplexer and use it for horn / fog lamp/usb charger ETC
      you can share your email to me on sujeetacharya@yahoo.com - i can share the wiring diagram
