You’re the first proper RUclipsr to review this shoe! I don’t know what people see in it. I’d imagine it’s seen as a lifestyle shoe.

You know if I'm being honest I'm not sure what made me pick this one for a review but I'm happy I did try it. it's something different and if I want to deliver good opinions on shoes, I believe it's my job to know everything that's out there. Thanks a lot for your comment!

wonkydonkey7899 - Not true heskicks did a, while not a runners review, he did a full casual review 3 months ago.
But it was great to get a runners perspective!!! Never say no to more reviews!

The cushioning under your feet is good BUT there is a plastic plate which runs all the way along the shoe , you can see it through the gaps , and under your foot you can feel it 🤔 so the shoe itself becomes the firmness you are trying to get away from on the ground. That said I've put over 20 miles on mine and would say it's not going to be a long distance shoe but as others have said it's good for middle distance ( say up to 7 miles ISH) . I don't regret buying mine because it's an unusual shoe and fun to run in and at speed is pretty good . At £66 I'm happy with mine . Also the grip is said to be poor but I find it great 👍

Despite all the "controversies" and "unique" design language, I can attest that as a heavier runner and midfoot striker, this one works great as intended for me. I think this is how Adidas' envisioned their 4D shoes should have felt, very well cushioned yet still stable and supportive, while giving you some sort of forward propulsion. And my legs felt fresh after running in it. Moreover, the upper is surprisingly comfortable, yet breathable.
However, yes this one is not only rock collector, but also dust collector, especially on the lateral side of the midsole. I was quite schocked by how dirty my shoes looked only after my 1st run.
But all in all, more than a decent daily cruiser from Adidas, especially for heavier runners, provided that you're able to look past the controversies and looks

@@edwardwilliammorris1340 yes, I've done >50k in them, and the experience has been an enjoyable one so far. The durability of the upper and outsole has been non-issue as well. That being said, unfortunately I can feel the EVA blend foam midsole has already started to slightly bottom out, which in my experience, quicker than my other shoes. So in my opinion, arguably not worth the full price (considering the slightly rapid bottoming out of the midsole). However, definitely worth trying if you can get it at discounted price.

The ideal shoe for someone that wants to combine their penchant for rock collecting with their fitness habit.

These remind me of the Adidas SpringBlades with the midsole being wrapped in foam.

Looks as a copyright violatiON 😁 and yes, manufactures copy each other all the time. Carbon fiber plates spread like wild fire, and they had to be modified in order to avoid a copyright violation. One manufacturer starts the super foams, next you know, all of them have one. Small changes and voila, you are done. Shoe evolution. Interesting shoe! Thanks for the video.

I don’t know if you all remember that adidas has that atrocious shoe called the Adidas Springblade and I don’t think adidas copied ON for this as this seems like a complete overhaul of the Springblade tech

@@AlexFilitti Great for my long walks at 90 kilos weight. Stable, soft and comfortable. I don't worry about rocks and mud, because I walk mainly around an oval track or around our big malls and city streets. Legs felt fresh even after walking many kiometers in it. Good buy, reasonable price. Gave my New Balance 1080v13 a run for its money haha
