no, thank you! i really learn alot.i've got 5 em's and a sea raider. i have to go through them from sitting for 4 years. long story. thanks for the help.
Thanks John! There's nothing to my clearcoating process, I just spray paint with clear spray paint over the parts that I touched up the paint on then wax it.
beautiful video my man, and thank you for taking the time for making this; I'm from Birmingham, about 20 hours from restoring one with almost exactly the same amount of wear on the billiards; you da man!!!
Wow !!!! Great job !!! You saved a playfield that normally would have been replaced. I am restoring an Eight Ball now and having trouble matching up that odd shade of green. You have a good eye for matching colors !!!
Thanks... it's not perfect, but it looked pretty good. The main things that would make my game step up would be using an air brush, and doing more sanding but that's a little farther along than I can go right now...
Nice job! I have an 8-Ball machine I've had for 20 yrs and the playfield is as bad , if not worse than yours. I';ve been trying to touch it up, but it's not looking that good. I'm not giving up! After I have my other machines finished, I'll strip down the playfield and see if I can get it looking decent. I love the game. I also have a couple of Harlem Globetrotters that I'm restoring.
time stamp 15:00, if you wipe the green area with black and then wipe it off you will have a really "good blend" for darkened areas... just a thought...
Looks like painting could be a new career move, Joe. Are you taking an Art class at a night school in your local community college? Hey Joe, you are quite the renassaonce man. :^D
So this was exactly a year ago, have you still got the Eight Ball Deluxe backglass ? as I want one, I have the LE and want to fit it with a regular backbox.
Nice job
Thanks Rory, we appreciate it!
Nice work.
nice work
Thank you for watching Bruce!

Very nice save of that old pin. Thanks for the video. I am a new owner of an old pin that needs a little love.
You can do it man, just got to find the time!
I have one in my basement. You did pretty good. Not perfect but for an average Joe painter that's really good. 👍
Thanks Eric, we appreciate it!
Green was excellent. All in all pretty good.
Thank you Robert, we appreciate that.

You can do it man, just take your time!
They have an overlay now.
Is it a full one, or just the balls? I've done one of the full ones before and man it's a TON of work!
Full overlay

We had a Harlem Globetrotters a couple years ago, those playfields get worn bad too because of all those insert lights right above the flippers...
and with HGT it's not solid blue either, shaded criss cross paint, nightmare to touch up

Clever idea with the electrical tape roll to make the outlines.

I'm starting a new show like Bob Ross had painting happy little trees. Look for it soon.

We do still have it, hanging on our wall, we've got $200 on it, it's in nice shape with a minor area on the bottom right where it delaminated a bit.
I would buy it if you could get it to the UK intact.
It looks great again. Not as new but close enough
That's just where we're aiming for :)
